Although Rick the Service Manager was awesome in keeping me informed & getting us a loaner, I'm not happy that my vehicle was out of commission for a month because of an error by the dealership's technician me informed & getting us a loaner, I'm not happy that my vehicle was out of commission for a month because of an error by the dealership's technician who did not reseat the pins properly on something when I brought my XC40 Recharge in for a 20,000 mile service. About a week after the service, the vehicle would not go into Drive showing a propulsion error. The tow truck driver had to put the vehicle on rubber boots and then drag it out of my garage while the wheels vibrated which I don't think was good for the vehicle. The vehicle had run very well for that first 20,000 miles before I took into service. My wife & I wondered what would have happened if we were driving the vehicle when this error occurred. Would we have crashed with the wheels locked up? This experience was very unsettling for us and we're unsure if some additional damage was done to our vehicle because of this incident and might not show up right away even though the dealership said the vehicle was thoroughly checked out. I also feel that our service receipt should have plainly said that the issue was caused by a technician who first worked on it & not just stating the there was an internal BDU failure burnt contactor and fuse. I had to ask for the root cause of the failure. More
