All I can say is ask for Evan Roth. This exceptional young man is knowledgeable and wise beyond his years. From first hello, you will clearly see he has a bright future ahead of him. Th This exceptional young man is knowledgeable and wise beyond his years. From first hello, you will clearly see he has a bright future ahead of him. The entire team elevates this dealership to levels you must experience to fully appreciated. Because of the level of professionalism and the connection on a personal level. He explained and showed us in detail why Volkswagen is the safest and most luxurious car on the road. He opened the hood and pointed out the safety features and innovative engineering built into these cars, I was truly left speechless. Volkswagen of West Islip went above and beyond Any expectations to show us we're not just customers. This was people caring for people. In a time where everything seems uncertain, it's comforting to know people of this caliber still out there. Go see Evan for your new or preowned car. Thank you again :) More
They don’t listen or read what you say. They’re pushy to “come in come in come in”, especially Kate Jordan in BDC sales. I needed a newer vehicle, but wasn't interested in buying a surprise package off the street. At the same time, I also wasn't excited about visiting a dealer. WSent to look at a used Pickup with a nice online price. They had a surprising 2500 reconditioning fee so the deal was right around the Kelly blue book price of 22000. I had a trade in which they low balled me (Kelly Blue book value of 11500 and they offered me 6500). I said no and then they said it was in an accident and needs new tires. The tires are fine and yes accoring to carfax it was in an accident with with no reported damage. Meanwhile the pickup I was looking at was in a moderate accident with a lot of damage (again according to carfax). The sales manager was not trustworthy and instead of lowballing them an offer for the pickup I walked out. Be wary when you go there. More
John L was amazing to work with and although the process was a little long he really made us feel comfortable and cared for. From beginning to end my experience with Volkswagen of West Islip, sunrise imports was terrible. Let me just start by saying, I was looking for a very specific car across the entire country and unfortunat West Islip, sunrise imports was terrible. Let me just start by saying, I was looking for a very specific car across the entire country and unfortunately, this was the only group that had the exact car that I wanted. From the general manager, Vito never calling me back, never following up on anything, to the sales people lying, and telling you that even if I was to walk in and pay cash, I would have to go through their financing. You see it over and over on the reviews where they try to tell customers that the only way they can sell you a car is if you use their financing. That obviously isn’t the truth, in the packet as you’re signing everything you have to sign off on a form saying that your own financing was available. At this point, my credit was already ran, and everything was already done, so I didn’t want to go through the hassle of using my own financing, instead I just refinanced everything as soon as I got the car, making sure that the dealer never got any credit for using their Ponzi scheme bank Another issue I had was I bought this car out of state and had a company do a full inspection. Upon inspecting it, they never noticed the passenger fender was damaged, and after I received the car and transport, the transport company confirmed the front fender piece was damaged upon pick up, and the car dealer cannot prove in any pictures that it was already damaged when they had it. The company that I hired to do the inspection told me that if they missed it, they would claim it under their insurance, so I reached out to Volkswagen of West Islip 15 times just to get the original pictures so I can prove to the car inspection company that the damage was already there and they just happened to miss it so they can pay for it with their insurance. The fact that nobody at Volkswagen of West Islip would even respond to me, makes me feel that this damage happened between the time that I bought it, and when the truck picked it up and Volkswagen of West Islip should have their insurance pay for it. They never disclosed there was only one key, this is a total cost of about $1000 to order a new one and have it programmed. I know when the person traded the car into them they knocked them down on the price because it was missing a key fob, and they hid the fact from me that it didn’t have the extra key fob. It only came with one whenever car comes with two. So between the damage on the car fender, being absolute liars about using their financing, and missing the key fob, I don’t see any other way to resolve anything with horrible dealers like this other than a civil lawsuit More
