My spouse went to buy a car. She has perfect credit. They ripped her off. They told her the car cost 35k but somehow the documents show it was 47k. I have never seen a group so unethical in my life. Stay away from this dealer. I'm reporting them to the attorney General and the NJ division of Taxation. Sales tax calculation looks a bit funky. Poor service all around. I would never shop here again. Employees don't seem to fix any issues they screw up on nor do they call back or respond to phone calls. I can't even figure out if my plates arrived or not since no one seems to know or get back to me. They also overcharged my card which I have dispute in motion for the past 2 weeks. Absolutely ridiculous! Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. Avoid VW at Union! More
Complete waste of time!! Went in for a quick test drive to make sure I liked the Atlas, which I did! Had to leave right after the test drive though bc nanny called that I was needed at home. Fine though bc I already showed up and had them appraise my trade in right?! Wrong! First asked when I would be coming back with my husband bc I guess in 2021 women can buy cars on their own? Won’t discuss pricing over the phone but says they’re selling the atlas at 4G over MSRP so I say then I have to go somewhere else. Sales manager calls me 20 mins later pretending he has no idea I just spoke with salesperson asking what we need to do to make a deal letting me know they will discount if really needed . I tell him I first need a price and he quotes me an outrageous number and proceeds to tell me the number I received on another car at a different dealer was not right and they lied to me. I finally just told him to have nice night and thanked him for his time. Just a terrible experience and the reason people dread going to car dealers. More
When we purchased the car Erika said there would be no problem transferring our plates and mailing us the registration since we lived far away. I called the dealer the day after the temporary plate expired and got no response. I called again two days after expiration and Nicole told me she would mail it over night immediately. My car was not registered until five days after expiration, when I was called and told I needed to come pick it up. I reminded the dealer that I was told it would be mailed it time when purchasing the car and told again by Nicole just this week she would over night it. Jimmy was incredibly rude and said I’d need to pay them an additional $25 to get it overnight. Why should I have to pay a fee when I already payed them for this service and THEY did not do it on time? Disorganized and rude, typical dealer. They’ll tell you anything to get your money and then customer service goes out the window. More
Tony went above and beyond with exceptional service through my whole car buying experience. From the start with calling to make sure I had proper directions, to getting my payment to what I could affor through my whole car buying experience. Working with Tony was an absolute pleasure! He was extremely patient, He was straightforward, I never felt pressured and - most importantly - he was a professional who knows the car business inside and out. In addition, their GM helped with the process and made sure I got the terms that made it possible for me to get the car I wanted at the payments I could work with! Shout out to Nora as well for getting the paperwork together quickly and explaining every detail of my financial obligations clearly and concisely! I highly recommend you talk to Tony if you are considering buying a car. For those who are reading their reviews, please know they are under new ownership and management as of April/May this year! Firstly it was difficult to get someone on the phone . Once I had the car I wanted picked out and had a price confirmed through true car , I went to the dealer and this is where the headache began . They had previously confirmed over the phone that true car prices would be honored . The manager told me I needed “ an official true car printed out certificate “ . (There is no such thing, the deal code is all they need ). Next they said the true car price is only on one VIN number and that the car I had picked is a loaner car. They told me they can give me an identical car but for a higher price . I told them to give me the vin numbers they have in stock so I can make another true car offer which takes 2 minutes . They finally gave up their tactics after an hour and agreed to match my price. The finance person Carl tried to scam us by saying dealer fees and registration were not part of down payment , but they were . Carl assured us all the paperwork was finished that night . The following day I called into the dealer 4 hours beforehand to make sure my temporary plates were ready and that everything was In order . I was told that it was . When I went in to pick up my vehicle I was approached by one of the detailers to sign one more paper because Carl forgot about it. This was to tack on an additional wrap coverage . We told Carl multiple times we do not want any additional coverage . After speaking with the manager, he basically threatened that if we don’t sign for this he doesn’t have to honor the deal. Carl also forgot to print out the temp plates so I was stuck waiting for an hour longer .( I had called them earlier in the day to make sure it would be ready ). I will never buy another vehicle from here again and will never recommend this place to anyone . It was the worst dealer experience in my life . More
We did our homework then found the car we wanted on line and called. They had the car on the lot when we got there the following day.
