Unfortunately that Jetta's check engine light came on so we came back and drove another one which had a sticker price in the window of $11,500 and wasn't listed online yet. This one drove well and we were interested but there were other cars we wanted to go drive that day. We went and drove a few other cars and came back Monday to negotiate price. However, when we got there the price was raised to $12,000 and of course they had no record of it ever being raised. The sales manager was very rude and told us we were thinking of another car. It was not. The other car he was referring to was the one with the check engine light which was listed at $10,500. I had never seen it when it was $11,500 because I was not looking for a vehicle when it was listed at this price. He was VERY rude through the whole negotiation and treated us as if we knew nothing. He even treated us as if our attention and our time did not matter because as he said "let me show you this and then I have another customer." I should have known at that point to get up and leave because obviously my time and money was of ZERO importance to him. He would not negotiate at all or name a price lower then $12,000 insisting that there is no way he would ever sell it below that. So we left. On Thursday we then get a call saying the price dropped to $11,000. We told them we would probably be coming up after work to look at it and then gave them a call a few minutes after we left the house (we live an hour away when there is no traffic) asking them if they could get the spoiler that was popping up on one side fixed. They said they would talk to their manager and see if they can do that. We get a call about 20 minutes later saying it is in the shop for service. We told them we are halfway there so we will be there soon. We get there and the salesperson we were working with, Justin, is with another customer so we decided to wait because he had been working with us since the beginning and was nice. So once he is done he tells us he will be with us in a second and then he tells us to have a seat at another desk while he goes to get the car. After he gets back he tells us that there is a problem. The air compressor for the A/C went and that he had told us it was in the shop. He NEVER told us it was in the shop for anything other then the spoiler getting fixed. So we left. I will not be coming back even if they fix it. I will not be buying anything from any "SUBURBAN COLLECTION" dealership. This customer service was atrocious to say the least. If we had been told no don't come out here it is being serviced because such and such went out I may have considered the purchase still. But to be treated like we stupid in the negotiation for ever thinking the price was different then $12,000, told this is the last thing I will get for you and I have other customers to deal with, and then for the price to drop 3 days later and take an hour and half drive in traffic to get out there and buy it to find out its not even ready for sale yet?! I would highly recommend anyone to avoid this place. More

Luckily I dealt with James, who was quite friendly, and attentive. I did have a lot of questions for him, as he had answers for all of them, he wasn't constantly running back to his supervisor for questions. Overall it was a great experience, while the car I had my eye on was unavailable he helped me find an even better one that helps fit all my driving needs! I would definitely recommend this dealership to any one of my friends and family. More
No follow-through. My vehicle purchasing experience with Suburban Auto Group, Troy used car dealership has been a negative one. I was disappointed in the following ways: My vehicle purchasing experience with Suburban Auto Group, Troy used car dealership has been a negative one. I was disappointed in the following ways: Sales- When waiting at the dealership to sign the final paperwork, I was left alone at a desk for approximately 30 minutes prior to the arrival of my husband. I was not offered water, or an opportunity to see the vehicle (which I had not yet seen in person). My salesman left the building to go home before the sale was finalized and plates could be swapped from my old vehicle. F&I- The Financial officer was not in communication with the sales team on what still remained to be done to the car, and attempted to have me sign a form stating that nothing was owed, when in fact the windshield and key needed replacing as part of the deal. After the sale- I was notified that the key for my vehicle arrived, and the dealership service department would be contacting me to get it programmed to my vehicle. After several days without contact, I elected to go to the dealership in person; at that time the new key was programmed. The following day, I found the original working key was no longer functional and needed to be reprogrammed. This required another trip to the dealership, but they were able to fix it that day. It took several phone calls, and three trips to Troy before an auto-glass company was scheduled to replace the windshield. I was apologized to each time and told that I certainly would hear from them by the next day. The auto-glass repair shop arrived at my place of work after I was done for the day, despite the dealership asking my availability the day prior. The replacement was rescheduled for the following day. When the auto-glass repair person arrived the following day, they indicated that the dealership had ordered a windshield for the incorrect vehicle. On the third attempt, the windshield was replaced. The total time to have all issues addressed was 32 days. I do not find that acceptable. Suburban Auto Group falls short on customer service, and requires frequent attention to ensure that you receive items owed to you as part of the sale. This has been very stressful and time consuming, and overall a disappointment. More
Eric Malone will put you in the car you want asap! I'd never bought a car before and Eric made the whole process a breeze. I came in knowing what I wanted and he explained all my options. Once we n I'd never bought a car before and Eric made the whole process a breeze. I came in knowing what I wanted and he explained all my options. Once we narrowed it all down he found the car I wanted for me and had it brought to the dealership. How to deal with insurance and maintenance was explained and I was able to provide everything needed. The car was promptly delivered and it turned out to be everything I was looking for. To be honest there was a bit of a wait when processing the final papers, but I wasn't in a rush/just think any reasons for that should be identified and resolved. However the experience was nothing but positive and now I have my wonderful new Jetta. I love my car. More
