My wife and I went new car shopping last week (on 2/18/13)), with our first stop being Autobarn VW of Mt. Propspect, where James Fisher greeted us. Well, while we did do a bit of itnernet looking, and spoke to Rich Fulfs on the phone (who had placed a very nice follow-up call to us, following our intital visit), we knew that we wanted to try to do a deal with James and the Aurobarn team. So, in less that a week, we went back yesterday (2/23/13), and got down to business with James. My wife and I hate the typical car buying "dance", with the back and forth, the pressure, the numbers maniuplation, and all that other fun stuff. Much to our delight, we experienced none of that - just open, honest negotiating; wrapped in ongoing good advice and guidance from James - and we walked out the door with a new 2013 Passat fitting all of our needs, and then some, for much less that we thought we would have had to pay! Even the dealing with the "dreaded" F&I guy - which based on our past experiences revolved around the squeeze to load the deal up with confusing extended warranty extras on the way out the door was great. No offense meant to Mike Audino - based on my prior stereotypical comments; Mike was more than great. And, the extras - in forms of extended protections - were super deals; we purchased 3 packages - all of which were made even more affordable based on the deal we cut on the vehicle alone. Net, net, I would highly recommend James. Rich, Mike and the rest of the Autobarn sales and service team. More

She helped us search inventory beyond the car we originally came for, and actually found us another vehicle we liked even better. welcomed by Kalina. She was very friendly, answered all of our questions, and tried really hard to help us find a car that had options and mileage that we considered important to us. Vic joined Kalina when the time came for negotiating the sale price. There were few rounds of offers/counteroffers in the process, but at no time were they pushy. We wanted to buy the car, they wanted to sell the car, so we had to work from several angles to make it happen (sale price, trade-in value, and financing). At no time during the process did we feel pressured or had any misrepresentations. We felt being among people who are also investing in a long-term relationship. At the end, we spent more money than we planned to, but we also got the car better than we came for. We went home happy with our purchase. We recommend both Kalina and Vic, and this dealership altogether. More

I purchased a 2013 Jetta from Eryk Buczynksi. Eryk was great throughout the entire process. Even though we were looking for a base model Jetta in our price range, Eryk worked with us and was able to snag great throughout the entire process.
