My initial interaction with Lee's Summit VW didn't start off great and I should have taken that as a sign. I had texted a few questions and got no specific answers. The salesman ended the conversion by sayi off great and I should have taken that as a sign. I had texted a few questions and got no specific answers. The salesman ended the conversion by saying if you have any questions let me know. I told him to scroll up and read the texts. There are questions he didn't answer. After some back and forth with a salesman though texts over a couple weeks and a visit to the dealership. On the 16th I got an email with a price listed that got the conversation started again. I set an appointment in the 16th to test drive a car on the 20th. We both knew the exact car and when I showed up on the 20th I was told the car would not start. I was told it needed a new battery. At one point I was told the current price of the car and it was more than what I had in writing in the email. I pulled up the email and was told that was an error and that they could see what they could do. After they agreed to the emailed cost I signed the paperwork that day after test driving a similar car with the understanding that the battery would be replaced. I was told they could have the car fixed the next day. I couldn't make the next day work with my schedule so I gave them until the 26th. I sent the salesman a text on the morning of the 26th and was told that the car was waiting on a part and needed a fuse and battery. These should be parts readily available at a VW dealership. After further questioning on the 27th I was told that prior to my appointment on the 20th someone made a mistake jumping the battery and fried the electronics of the car. This required getting additional parts they didn't have in stock. On the 30 I took delivery of the car with 40 additional miles in it. The 30 day tag had already been started on the 20th meaning I lost 10 days on the tag. Prior to taking delivery of the car I had texted the sales manager and asked that paperwork be ammended based on the 30th being the delivery date and I wanted to review a copy of the service documents. As I was looking over the car the sales manager stopped by to check in and I reminded him that I wanted to see the service paperwork. He said he was going to get it. Later I found out he left the dealership. I made him come back to find the paperwork. That evening took the car home. They hid the amount of miles it had been driven. It had an extra 40 miles on it from the 20th. These guys were awful and serve as a reminder of why the dealership model is such a waste of time. If there was another blue car in town I would have gone somewhere else. There was no point throughout the sales process that went smoothly or met expectation. They are lucky the car sold itself throughout their bumbling of the sales process. During my inspection of the car prior to taking it home found several scratches on the car. I'm hoping they can fix theses without creating further problems in the near future. At this point I have a total lack of confidence in anything they say or do. I would not recommend Lee's Summit VW and plan on servicing the car elsewhere. More
Very very poor service. Didn’t want to do anything to make a deal happen. I am unimpressed with this place. It was very insulting to even go to this place. make a deal happen. I am unimpressed with this place. It was very insulting to even go to this place. More

I viewed online inventory to make sure the vehicle I wanted was still available and chatted online to make sure before driving almost 2 hours. Upon arrival I asked for the gal I chatted with and she quickly passed me off to a guy in sales. Turns out the vehicle wasn’t there but at another dealership they could get it from! Through my frustration, I allowed them to work some numbers to give me what I wanted. While they went back and forth between multiple employees I was getting uncomfortable with how rude some were to one another right in front of customers. I should have walked out but decided to stick around since they were giving me more for my trade than another dealership. After 2 hours, the paperwork is done and I can finally leave in another new car to drive until they pick up my new car and deliver it. Later that next day I still hadn’t received a call from my salesman so I called to check on the status. He tells me that it has been there waiting for me to come pick it up. I reminded him that he agreed to deliver the vehicle to me as part of the deal because I was so far away. After a little debate I agreed to meet him almost half way to exchange vehicles. He was in a rush to leave for vacation and wouldn’t take the time to explain any features of the car. When I asked questions, he would just say it was all in the owners manual. Very disappointed in their customer service and will find another dealership for service of the new car and any future purchase. More
Unwanted mail and emails from dealership I took my 2015 VW Jetta in for an oil change and to install new tires I brought with me. This was my first time at this dealership. When I arrived, I took my 2015 VW Jetta in for an oil change and to install new tires I brought with me. This was my first time at this dealership. When I arrived, I had to do some paperwork as I had never been there before for car services. They asked me for my email and VERY RELUCTANTLY gave them my email. They promised me the only thing they would email me is service coupons so I said that was fine. I was actually pleased with the oil change and tire service BUT wouldn't you know it a month later I start getting mail and emails asking for me to come in and trade my car in for a newer car. I would be a complete moron to trade in a 2015 Jetta with only 40,000 miles on it which I will have paid off in 18 months, plus I have about $4,000 in positive equity in. I don't appreciate this one bit and I probably will not return because of it. Once shame on me..twice shame on them Originally leased a vehicle here and was completely taken advantage of by just telling me what I wanted to hear in order to make the sale. Decide to Originally leased a vehicle here and was completely taken advantage of by just telling me what I wanted to hear in order to make the sale. Decide to buy out the lease but had to do that at the dealership. Well once again the agreed to things that they didnt carry through on. As the once again agreed to what I wanted and after talking with VW credit the couldn't even legally so that... Will never ever recommend that car lot to anyone. More
