Amazing first alone car buying experience! I was referred by a friend and worked with saleswoman, Gwen Creel. I had been on the website a few times and looked at a few 2017 Jeffa’s and let Gwen I was referred by a friend and worked with saleswoman, Gwen Creel. VW of Lee’s Summit (please read the update) I leased 2 vehicles from this dealership in 2015. The finance manager at the time (apparently he is no longer employed there and I can understand why) I leased 2 vehicles from this dealership in 2015. The finance manager at the time (apparently he is no longer employed there and I can understand why) said to me "as long as you buy, sell or trade it, you don't need to worry about the miles" and he said it multiple times. Fast forward two years and I am trending to be over my mileage allotment on my Passat. I went back into the dealership last week to see what my option were at this point and found that what the finance manager at the time told me was just not true. As a matter of fact, the most recent sales team I dealt with mentioned to me that multiple customers were told the same thing during his tenure and that they have dealt with multiple escalations regarding this same issue! Unfortunately, their only options were to double my current payment for the next 6 years or to get me into a new sale (as I will never lease from them again) at the roughly the same rate! I asked to speak to the General Sales Manager, Matt Ottosen, to try to find a different resolution and he has refused to return my call or even send me an email. Its been week since that time. I've called, emailed and even asked for his schedule to come see him in person. Their excuse is "he is very busy". I'm sure he just doesn't wan't to deal with the situation and hopes i'll just go away. I question their so-called commitment to customer service, I question their sales practices and worst of all, I question their integrity. Please check with other VW dealerships before purchasing here. UPDATE: After speaking with Matt Ottosen this afternoon, my options post-lease were outlined very clearly and they are making every effort to ensure my satisfaction. Matt spent over an hour with me today and I must say I am very impressed with how he has handled the situation. I appreciate his time and attention greatly. Much better experience. There seems to be a lot of misunderstandings but they are working very diligently towards a resolution. Thank you! I have also move the review from 1 star to 4 stars. More
