Hi Jessica, I'm sorry your shopping experience with us wasn't what you were hoping for. Unfortunately I wasn't able to speak with the salesperson you worked with as he is no longer with the company, so I have to rely on his notes. From what I can tell speaking with the Finance Manager who was working with him, our initial offer on your trade-in was based on the numbers we got from NADA and AAX, the two pricing services that we use. Not many dealers use Edmund, KBB or any of the other retail sites as their pricing is invariably high. Looking at the notes, we did come back with a second offer that was significantly higher than that initial offer, but likely still below the numbers provided by Edmunds. Since I am unable to speak with the salesperson you dealt with, I don't have any further context to see what happened, so all I can do is apologize and say that we hope you enjoy your new GTI.
