Our experience was a good one! We felt that Darrin did a great job in getting us settled into our new vehicle. The only complaint we had was that the car could have been cleaned better. My family and I were on spring break vacation in the Gulf Shores (traveling by car from Minnesota) when we experienced what we thought was a dead battery. Low and behold, on our venture north to Alabaster to visit family, we again experienced what we thought was battery failure, as it would take a charge/jump start. At this point we began to suspect it was the alternator, and knew we needed to see a skilled mechanic. We continued on north, calling local dealerships along the way, ultimately stopping at a dealership who told us they would be able to help us. After waiting at the other dealership for 2 hours, they finally told us that they wouldn't be able to get us in before they closed for the day. Defeated, and 2 hours wasted, we moved ahead with our plans to get to Alabaster. As we approached the Calera/Alabaster exit, we noticed Victory GMC. On a whim, we stopped in, knowing that it was likely the mechanics had gone home for the day, as it was shortly after 5:00 p.m. I went inside, and there was Brittany, ready and willing to help! At closing of business, most people would just send you away, but Brittany was as helpful as if it I was her first customer (true southern hospitality). She told me that although the mechanics had all gone home for the day, they would be open at 7:00 a.m. and we could get our Acadia in first thing in the morning,. She gave me her cell phone number and told me to call if we wanted to schedule an appointment, or we could just drop off the keys in the overnight slot. We dropped off first thing in the morning. In addition to the helpful intake, we were concerned about the fact that we had a Ford warranty (purchased through the used car dealer in Minnesota). Brittany was on top of it! She contacted the warranty company, explained our situation, and also managed to negotiate the reimbursement for the battery we had purchased, as it was ultimately the alternator that was the problem (covered under warranty). She kept in constant contact with me throughout the service process, continuing to let me know where things were at, and what I may need to do to make it a seamless transaction. We couldn't be happier with the service we received, and more importantly, the genuine customer relations with Brittany! Five stars for Brittany from this Minnesota family who made it home safely!
