I came into the Ventura Toyota Dealership today to service my Toyota Rav4 and while there I stopped in to say hi to Luis Martinez. Luis has assisted me in the leasing of 6 cars over several years and service my Toyota Rav4 and while there I stopped in to say hi to Luis Martinez. Luis has assisted me in the leasing of 6 cars over several years and I have had the privilege of getting to know him during those times. He relates in such a clear and honest manner - I truly value him as a person and I trust his skills/knowledge about cars, purchases, leases, etc. When I asked Luis if there was any way of lowering my payments on the 2 Rav4's that I leased over a year ago, he began to pick my brain as to my needs (the why's and wherefore's) - and then walked away. He came back with news of 2 2014 Camry's my wife and I could lease that would in fact lower my payments. Then he began to get creative with financing toward that goal. Along with his General Manager, Steve M and Financial Manager, Marion Swain, Luis teamed collected his team to create a package that could work, that would put my wife and I into those 2 Camry's within just a few hours. I trust Luis - he is ethical and honest with me - always has been. After sharing all the pros and cons with him, I followed his lead and now find myself very happy with the choice. There are few businessmen, people for that matter, with the integrity I feel he holds. I just thought it would be good to share this positive and friendly experience. Before we left Luis took the time to set up our bluetooth for our phones, our radio stations, Pandora, Address Books, gave instruction, had our specialty plates transferred... More

I have lived in Oxnard all my life and so I ended up having it serviced at Oxnard. Scott was my super go to guy for all my service needs and so when I wanted a Prius I was able to contact Scott and he recommended I work with James. James was wonderful...he is very knowledgeable and was very patient with all my questions about the hybrid (which I didn't know much). He synced my phone and that was very important to me !! He offered and I accepted a water (very nice) while watching the mandatory video. He understood my concerns, and was very assuring that the car met my needs and if I ever had any doubts or questions, either he or Scott would take care care of both my car and me . I received a letter from Steve Mares wanting to purchase my 2010 Tacoma as a trade in for a new Toyota. I was in the area on a Monday about 10:00 and happened by and there were a number of people standing my 2010 Tacoma as a trade in for a new Toyota. I was in the area on a Monday about 10:00 and happened by and there were a number of people standing around in the parking lot as I parked and proceeded to walk into the main sales office. I was approached by one of the young men, I believe his name was Bryan . I told him I wanted to see Steve Mares and he took me in to the building and asked me to wait. He went over to a Steve who was pushing papers around at a desk and Bryan came back and told me Steve was to busy to talk to me (I guess those papers were burning a hole in his desk), he could have stopped for a minute and told me himself was busy and Brian would help me (and I would have been OK with that as I just walked in). Anyway we walked right by him on our way out to the lot and he ignored me which I guess it was to much trouble to say hello. Anyway I went with Brian to look at the Tacoma's and it was apparent Brian did not know what stock they had, I wanted a specific model, he said they had more in the back so we walked back to find out all he could show me were fleet sales trucks which were not available. We went back to the showroom and I was again handed off, this time to Manuel Cosio, I told Manuel what I was looking for and he asked to see my Tacoma, he took the vin number and my contact info said he would run the numbers to identify what he could offer on a trade in and he or Bryan would call me soon. Well the rest of Monday and Tuesday went by and no call so I called Manuel ( their automated phone system is a pain) finally got through to a person was told he would be in the office in an hour or so and I left a message. Well there was no call all Wednesday. I now remember why I bought my 2010 at another dealer,I had gone to the Ventura dealer to start looking last time and the experience left a lot to be desired and nothing has changed. So I went to the dealer where I bought the Tacoma last time and with in an hour or so I had purchased a new Tacoma at the price I wanted. Bryan and Manuel seemed nice and at least at first they seemed like they wanted to help but I guess the attitude of the management rolls down to the people in the trenches. Because of their inability to operate in a business like manner they lost two sales. More
If it wasn't for Sales Associate Luis Martinez, I would never come back to Ventura Toyota. I purchased a 2014 Scion tC Ten Series and couldn't be more happy about my purchase. This is the fourth ca would never come back to Ventura Toyota. I purchased a 2014 Scion tC Ten Series and couldn't be more happy about my purchase. This is the fourth car that my family has purchased from Ventura Toyota in the past 4 years, specifically with the help of Luis. Luis is honest, hardworking and puts customer service at the forefront of the car buying experience. Finance Director Marion Swain was also a pleasure to work with and had me in/out of the required paperwork in no time at all. If it wasn't for these fantastic employees, I would probably never come to Ventura Toyota. The only reason I gave the "over all" experience a 4 instead of a 5 was due to the poor customer service of a sales manager, Chris Pack. Although Chris was somewhat helpful on my second time into the dealership, I was very dissatisfied with his lack of knowledge with the Scion products. I am a customer who was looking for a particular tC model that was part of the 2014 release series. I wanted a manual transmission, but was told by Chris these models ONLY came in automatic. I stated I had seen the model I wanted in a manual transmission at another dealership and on the Scion website, but was still met with an argumentative response from the sales manager. Instead of researching and calling the nearby dealership that I saw the manual transmission model, I was shut down and told the car didn't exist. In a normal situation, I would have left Ventura Toyota and gone to the dealership that had the car I wanted. Even when the sales associates showed the sales manager the Scion website, specifically stating the model I wanted came in a manual transmission, I still received no acknowledgement that my claim was valid. I find it very disappointing that a customer knows the products and trim specifications of vehicle models BETTER than the new car sales manager. If you decide you're in market for a new Toyota or Scion, I'd highly recommend asking for Luis to guide you through the process. We've referred three other friends and coworkers who also purchased from Ventura Toyota. More

I have consistently experienced nothing but the highest level of professionalism, integrity and customer service from SERVICE ADVISOR, SCOTT ROBLES, representing Ventura Toyota. My 2000 Tacoma Pre-Runner P level of professionalism, integrity and customer service from SERVICE ADVISOR, SCOTT ROBLES, representing Ventura Toyota. My 2000 Tacoma Pre-Runner PU recently turned 14 years old and has 262,000 well driven miles. The vehicle still runs like new (mainly due to the ongoing care of the vehicle by Toyota). Robles will take the time to listen to the customers concerns/needs promptly calling back within the day to advise the status and recommended service, if needed. This is a rare dealership that doesn't encourage you to commit to service and unnecessary expense if not needed. Robles and everyone at Ventura Toyota are "low pressure" and pleasant to do business with. I will continue to consult Scott Robles and Ventura Toyota for all of my service needs. When it is time to consider the purchase of a new vehicle, Ventura Toyota will be my first stop! More
