Hi Teddy, When we appraised your trade and the check engine light came on, we took it to service and have them scan for codes. Your vehicle had just had the codes cleared before it came in, so we could appraise the vehicle without knowing that there was something wrong with it. All of this is verifiable when a tech scans the vehicle for codes. We strive to provide clear and accurate information when assessing each vehicle that comes in, but this is made difficult when cars are altered to show misleading information.

Wow, your response is alarming and demonstrates poor character of your dealership. You’re really going to respond clearing codes will resolve mechanical issues? Another example of providing an excuse and not taking accountability. Being the sole owner of this vehicle and knowing where/what it has been doing at all times, I can assure you there have been no codes cleared. There had been no reason to clear codes if none were present due to no issues. Hypothetically, even if the codes were cleared, clearing codes does not fix a mechanical issue. Clearing codes does not explain how it was running perfectly fine when it was brought to you all and after the test drive, is when it started idling and driving rough thus resulting in the codes. The root cause of the check engine light coming on is the appraiser causing mechanical damage to the vehicle during his test drive resulting in the car to start idling rough. Vehicle was idling/running great before it got to you. Clearing codes does not resolve rough idles if they previously existed that created the codes. Disappointed in your false, illogical response but if that’s your business practice, it speaks volumes of your unethical practices.
