Total Time In and Out Door… 5hours! My wife (62) with her mom (84) and great nephew (2) went to purchase a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. It is 1 hr drive from her mom’s. We had the cash to purchase but giving her mom her current car and wanted to make it easy to get out her car. Test drive and negotiation took 1hr. No big deal. Once price settled came back with $15k of upgrade stuff, then finance person tried up sell of warranty. They tried to represent the current Hyundai warranty as not in place. My wife called Hyundai CS and put them on speaker to explain warranty. It took 4 hrs to get car ready and complete cash financing. All of this with no symphathy and the dealership was being served recognition lunch. No offer of food. They even incorrectly computed Final price because they taxed the trade in. After everything still does didnt had to deliver car. The young sales lady rode with person delivering. My wife told her on delivery this was very painful to make it better all you had to say was go eat or go home we will bring car to you. The young lady said I don’t think I could do that. You might ask why I did not go with my wife and the reason is she was visiting the family and we live four hours away. I also figured in this new world of car dealerships I could deal with things over the phone, which I did and we could get her in and out with little pain. Not sure if they are crooks or incompetent! Liars and cheats, finance office are thieves.
