The advisor did not give me the bottom line in pricing. When I arrived to get tires, he just said it was going to be roughly $1300. He didn't give me any options in tires. After I left, I asked about the types of tires and thats when he informed me there was a cheaper 'better' tire. I researched on my own and chose the cheaper better tire. I told him I didn't need a performance tire for a family car. He then informed me it would be roughly 800 dollars. He left and whoever he left in charge didn't call at all the next day for me to get my car. I didn't pick it up until the day he got back and I had to call. When I got there to pick up my car, the final bill was roughly $1100. My car required an engine replacement due to faulty parts from manufacturer which took a class action lawsuit to happen. It ended up costing me almost 4k due to parts and hoses needing to be replaced not cov from manufacturer which took a class action lawsuit to happen. It ended up costing me almost 4k due to parts and hoses needing to be replaced not covered by the manufacturer. But I was told if I didn’t replace, it would void the warranty. 60 days later check engine light came on and additional parts needed to be replaced within the engine again not covered. The team at Vandergriff requested it be covered and were able to get it covered by Hyundai after making sure I knew it was being done free even though they didn’t have to. It’s been less than 60 days and the check engine light just came back on. I will return it again to see what can be done. The team is courteous and professional and I would give them 5 stars if it is just based on being nice. But the value of the survey is knowing what is going wrong and the engine to this car was not completely replaced, or the replacement effort was not successful. It’s very frustrating to spend this amount of money and the car still not be repaired. More
