I received an online quote to sell my car to Vandergriff Hyundai. My vehicle had absolutely no mechanical issues and was running great for years prior to arriving to the dealership. The appraiser who assess Hyundai. My vehicle had absolutely no mechanical issues and was running great for years prior to arriving to the dealership. The appraiser who assessed my vehicle test drove it and while he was driving it, all of a sudden the check engine light came on and car was idling rough. I was in utter shock and irate. Basically, he ruined my car and would not take ownership of causing the issue. Instead trying to find any excuse to blame it on the vehicle (ie. has vehicle recently been serviced, battery disconnected, etc,..) Unfortunately, I was so irate, I wanted to leave and didn’t ask to speak to a manager. Shame on Vandergriff for not taking accountability of causing damage to my car while in their hands and not offering anything to make it right. I am having the vehicle repaired. My opinion and review (to a 5 star) may change if Vandergriff proactively reaches out to me to make things right by maybe assisting with all or a portion of the repair bill for negligence they caused in their possession.
