Lou Margetis in the Internet Sales section is the best. Due to the unplanned loss of my vehicle and limited funds, I wouldn't be able to take my time doing research and getting my finances in order to casually make a purchase- I felt like I was operating under the worst conditions to buy a car. I found something on Autotrader.com and submitted my interest in it; within minutes the dealership had responded with a request to schedule a test drive and I got something scheduled for that day. I was set up to meet Lou Margetis; in my predicament I was expecting an unwanted hard sell but that didn't happen to me at all. Lou has to be the friendliest salesman I ever met. He wasn't pushy, he wasn't like one of those "Herb Tarlek from WKRP in Cincinnati types"; he was a really mellow, soft spoken guy. We took the the car I was interested in for a test drive, but I just wasn't feeling it and asked what else he had on lot... and that was the car I ended up purchasing. While the total dollar value of the car was modest, Lou spent a lot of time showing me all the features and functions of the vehicle. A really personable fellow-- not once did I think he was neglecting my requirements in favor of those for the dealership, and in pretty short order we worked through the purchasing process which I thought was a fairly priced. Now I'm driving around in my new car-- quite a few steps up from my former vehicle-- and I'm very happy how Lou and his team made my purchase really easy and (gasp!) even enjoyable. I will certainly return to by another car from Van Hyundai in the future... maybe get one of those Azeras next time. :) - Matthew J. Fazio More

Sold a Car they Couldn't Deliver I highly suggest going to Freeman Hyundai instead. We paid for a brand new Elantra in cash that we were promised would be delivered 5 days later. We waited over two weeks while the managers, Jacob and Chris, story kept changing from it was on the truck, to "it will be here tomorrow", then suddenly it was just arriving via ship in San Diego, and then they couldn't tell us where it was. We finally had to show up to the dealership and demand they deliver us our car, find one from another dealers lot to give us, or give us our money back. We ended up taking our money and went directly to Freeman Hyundai who gave us the vehicle we wanted and an infinitely better customer service experience. More

STAY AWAY! Salesman Michael Abelino sold me a 'titled as new' 2017 Hyundai Elantra with 5000 miles on it and a huge 2 foot crack in the bumper (which was not dis Salesman Michael Abelino sold me a 'titled as new' 2017 Hyundai Elantra with 5000 miles on it and a huge 2 foot crack in the bumper (which was not disclosed to me) for the price of the exact same model brand new. If this is any indication of what most transactions are like, which is what their online reputation portrays, then it should be obvious that you need to stay away. They employ aggressive sales tactics to get you in the door, and then convince you you're getting a great deal when they're actually taking you for as much as they possibly can. No one should ever pay more than the price of a new car for the same model, used, with undisclosed exterior damage. I was taken advantage of and the dealership has no interest in rectifying the situation despite the huge margin of profit they received off of my sale. More
