We were visiting my mother who lives in Fond du Lac (we live near Superior) and after several hours of talking, decided to kill a little time. I saw Van Horn Hyundai on the corner and decided to stop in just to look around. Tom Vang met me as I stepped out of my car. I told him he'd be wasting his time as I had no intentions of buying a car. It seemed to not matter to him as he gave me a grand tour of the inventory. I was extremely impressed with Tom's explanation of all the vehicles. A bit later I talked to my wife, explaining I was just looking at cars to kill some time but was quite impressed with the Hyundai. She wanted to see so we returned. After 20 minutes of speaking with Tom, we decided to buy the Elantra. I am not an impulse buyer but Tom's selling ability convinced us we needed this car. After we bought it, I feared I would regret buying something without researching it but that's not the case. We are ecstatic with this car, getting 42 mpg on our return trip home the next day. We love this car which is very unusual as we always considered a car as transportation and nothing more. Thanks to Van Horn and a special thanks to Tom. We drove about 75 get to the dealership on a Saturday. We had a couple different cars that we were interested in looking at. We ended up looking at a third car that we really liked. Even though the salesteam was obviously really busy, we were always taken care of, and had the opportunity to test drive a few cars. We never felt pressure to make a purchase. In fact they let us take the car we really liked out to lunch. That was a nice way to get some time to think over our decision, and get more familairized with the vehicle. When we did decide to make a purchase, there was some waiting involved, because, as mentioned previously, it was a really busy day. The wait turn out to be quite pleasant however, as we were actively engaged in conversation with Aaron Collar. Richard Reed was also a pleasure to work with, and was very efficient and to the point. He seemed to have a sharp understanding of our questions almost before we even asked. We've purchased a few cars from different dealships, and usually it feels like a painful experience, followed by buyers remorse. This was an entirely different experience. We left feeling like we got the car we wanted for the price we wanted, and we were taken car of better than we would have ever expected by Jake, Aaron and Richard. Thanks for the great experience! My overall experience at Van Horn was good. My sister got her car there a few years ago and I thought I should try them first. I did a little research on cars before I came in to Van Horn. I wanted a Hyundai her car there a few years ago and I thought I should try them first. I did a little research on cars before I came in to Van Horn. I wanted a Hyundai, Ford, or a Volkswagon. They let me test drive three cars. When I was done with the first one, which was 2012 Accent. I felt very squished in the car. It was way to compact for me and then I test drove the 2012 Elantra and that was, I felt, the same size as the Accent. It was very squishy. I told them I wanted an Sonata and when we got back there was one there for me to test drive. I liked it but I wasn't quite sure I wanted it. They let me keep it overnight and the next day I did the carfax. Googled some more info on the car, and had a list of questions for Kevin when I got back. He answered the questions and gave me answers I was looking for. We were very concerned about the repair damage that was on the sticker. But b/c nothing was on the carfax we could assume we were safe. When it came to the negotiating I wasn't impressed. I wanted $1000 for my Grand Am, which did not have a lot of miles but there were some repairs that needed to be done. They offered $500 and I felt that was pretty fair. However for the price of the car I felt like it was over what I wanted to spend. I only wanted my monthly payments to be no higher than $200 a month, which I got but the car itself after all was said and done I feel like I way over paid for the car. Looking over the sheet again the car seemed to be more than what it was stickered at. That was the only problem I had with the whole experience at Van Horn. More

I was in communication with Brandon for a couple weeks prior to coming to purchase my vehicle and he was always very prompt with a response, explained things, and was very pleasant. The reasons that I rated lower in a couple areas were because on the way home the service engine soon light came on in my car (it turned out to be just some corrosion on a connector to the transmission), the back tires on my car were very low even after I was told that the tires were filled with air, and the 6 disc CD changer doesn't work, which I believe should have been checked and at least disclosed if it wasn't going to be fixed. I now have to spend the extra money on something that I believed to be working in the car when I got it. I also felt that the detail work done in the car could have been better because there were a few spots on the seats that could have been cleaned and it was still dirty/dusty inside even after it was detailed (and yes, I do understand that it's not a brand new car so it won't be perfect). Overall, I am very happy with my car and the value that I received and I enjoyed working with Brandon. Thanks! More
I was very impressed with Van Horn Hyundai. I had purchased a previous Hyundai from a different dealer and was greatly disappointed. I ended up taking that car to Van Horn for most services. When I needed to replace that Hyundai, I knew that I wanted another one and I had heard great things about Van Horn. You will not be disappointed. Brandon worked with me to get me a great interest rate and I was able to get the car that I wanted within my budget. They did the loan shopping for me, so I knew I was getting the best deal with the lowest rates. It took me less than two hours to buy the car I had my heart set on (including the 20 minute test drive!). I could not have asked for a better car buying experience. They follow up with you about how your car is doing and send promotional discounts for oil changes and other services. I would recommend that anyone looking to buy a car go to Van Horn...especially if they are going to buy a Hyundai. More
Very attentive without being pushy. We were looking for a used vehicle and went online to look for a vehicle, of the 4 we found online 3 of them were at Van Horn Hyundai. My husband sent a request for info and Jake Duel contacted him to a look for a vehicle, of the 4 we found online 3 of them were at Van Horn Hyundai. My husband sent a request for info and Jake Duel contacted him to answer his questions. We went on a Friday evening and Jake met us and pulled up all 3 vehicles for us to look at and test drive. We told Jake that we needed to think about it and there was no pressure to make a decision. We went home and got online again to see if there was any other vehicles that we wanted to look at but we kept coming back to the Crysler Pacifica that we had test drove. We went back on Saturday morning, it was the end of the month and the place was busy. Jake greeted us apologized for having to wait and then pulled up the Pacifica so we could drive it again. Jake started the paper work as soon as we returned. We left with our vehicle that day, I love my Pacifica and would definitely return to Van Horn again. Everyone at the dealership was great and we would highly recommend Van Horn and Jake Duel to our family and friends. Keep up the great work Jake. More
My first visit for service and I didn't know where to go. One of the salemen walked me over to where I needed to check in and told me exactly what to expect in the future. Service provided in the amount of time they told me. While waiting, the person I purchased my car from, stopped over to say Hi and ask how everything was working. I made some comments about some minor problems I was encountering and both of us went outside to my car and he made suggestions as well as getting in the car to show me exactly what to do. Great service. Will come back again and again! More
This is my third vehicle I purchased from Van Horn. And the fourth Hyundai I have owned. I will admit I am not an easy person to deal with. Tim did not give up on me. He was up for the challenge.
