Disappointed and wiser! We purchased a new Sonata from Van Horn Hyundai and our salesman was Robby Roehl. Robby was very helpful and not pushy but we came away feeling like h We purchased a new Sonata from Van Horn Hyundai and our salesman was Robby Roehl. Robby was very helpful and not pushy but we came away feeling like his superiors were making him say things that were not true and we feel we were not given a fair trade in price for our 2008 Elantra. Many times we referred back to the letter we got in the mail and were told well that doesn't apply any more since they had to get the car we bought from a city close by. We were also charged for them having it brought to Fond du Lac which they never mentioned until we were signing the papers. $150.00 is a lot of money to have a car from another lot 30 miles away delivered to Fond du Lac. Again, nothing against Robby, he was very pleasant but we left feeling cheated on the trade in price because of a light being on on the dash board We know Robby has no say in what is offered so we do not hold this against him.. This was our 2nd time buying a car here and the first visit was much better. More

horrible customer service I looked into buying a vehicle from there at first it seemed like it was good vehicle test drove it and was ok with it. Bought it the very next day noticed it was making a noise. Took it back there not even 24 hours later sat there all day because my understanding was that we were trading it for different vehicle that day nope was told would have to wait. Wasn't going to keep driving my children in a vehicle that I could tell something was wrong with it. So now I have been there all day talked to the used sales manager he ended up being rude and talking like a 2 year old all because I asked to have the general mangers number when they told me no I asked for Dick Strongs number they refused to give me any info and then told me to go tattle because I didn't get what I wanted. Come on now very unprofessional way to conduct yourself. I have three children and will not put them in that vehicle to drive them. I would not recommend these ppl to anyone. They are not very informative and waste hours of people's time.and the comment of not getting what i want came from the general sales manager tim goeckerman. Should Have Known Better But Buyers If You Have any issues department of motor vehicles takes complaints about dealerships. More
STAY AWAY I had an awful experience buying a car from Van Horn Hyundai of Fond du Lac. In fact they ruined the whole excitement of buying a new car. I found the I had an awful experience buying a car from Van Horn Hyundai of Fond du Lac. In fact they ruined the whole excitement of buying a new car. I found them online; they advertised a Hyundai Sonata 2011 as a certified vehicle, and decided to go ahead and check it out, although I live 2 and half hours away. The sales person (Robbie) let me drive the car and I really liked it. The trouble started when I told Robbie that I want to buy the car with cash. He was so disappointed, even said “Who buys a car without financing nowadays!” Well, since when “cash money” are not appreciated??? So, to continue, he changed the price of the car, since it won’t be financed (had to pay more for that). I agreed to the higher price, because Robbie repeated more than enough times that the vehicle is certified. Meanwhile, the sales person was keep pushing me into financing the car, even just for 6 months, and then pay it in full. At one point he was almost begging me! I paid almost $20000 in cash and left the dealership thinking that my new car is “certified”. After a week owning the vehicle there was a problem, It was raining and my car got flooded!!! I emailed the sales person and he told me to take my car to the nearest Hyundai dealership and they’ll fix it for me also the air filter and cabin air filter were very dirty, something that they must have checked before selling the vehicle. And that is how I found out that the vehicle is NOT certified!!! When I called to FDL dealership asking about explanation, they told me that just because I paid cash I can’t have that feature of the car and there is nothing they can do about it! I was shocked! I paid more for that feature and for paying with cash…that is what I call a false advertising and fraud!!! They lied to me and took my money! In conclusion, I would like to say that the people who work in that dealership are only interested in your money, especially the money you’ll pay in interest, financing a car. I am going to make sure more people hear about my experience with Van Horn Hyundai of Fond du Lac dealership and none of my friends, family or people I know will ever go there and trust those people! They just don’t appreciate your business!!! More
Can You Say Run Around? I talked to Jake over the phone on Saturday May 3rd about a 2009 Toyota Sienna and asked if it was still available and wanted to see it. Jake told me that it was still for sale but was sent out for reconditioning and that it would be a couple days for it to come back. I called again on Tuesday May 6th asking if it would be availble to view on Thursday May 8th as I would be in town and Jake told me that no it would not be back until the following week and I asked which day and he told me that he expected it on Tuesday May 13th. I then called on Monday May 12th to see if it would be available to see the next day and Jake stated that no that it had already sold on Satiurday and asked him how could that be possible when he had said it would be back until the13th and he said that it came back early and there was nothing he could do about it. Jake did not seem to care that I was disappointed in the level of service he provided and I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. More

Kevin made the experience at Van Horn much easier and quicker. He was upfront about everything and didn't try to smooth talk us. Kevin has also been very nice and helpful after the sale. He made sure I was comfortable working all the "bells and whistles" that came on my vehicle. I know I can contact him any time I have questions or concerns about my beautiful new Tucson. More

I went in looking for a good used car, I wanted a larger car with great mpg Kevin went out of his way to find my wife and I a car that fit our budget! Being a bigger guy that needed more room inside a car, Kevin explain how the 2013 Elantra had a lot of room and had amazing mpg plus a price that fit my budget! We had a great test drive and got it that night! We couldn't be happier!! More
