Decent vehicles, pushy sales people, high prices. We went in looking for an SUV with a third row seat. They weren't very helpful in finding us these to look at, the ones we asked to look at they had us look in the windows of, not open up and test drive. When we found a van that we didn't mind, we asked to talk about pricing and were told that we could discuss it with the finance manager. The paperwork was brought to us with numbers already put in with no opportunity to change. They pushed a loan on us so that we would be spending more than we intended. We were there for almost 6 hours. In the first 2 hours, we test drove 2 vehicles, the rest of our day was spent waiting for the finance manager. The vehicle wasn't finished with repairs, but they wouldn't allow us to put money down to hold it and come back later. They told us that since it was the end of the month, they wanted to count the sale. So we will have to make another trip there to pick up the vehicle and hope no issues have come up while they worked on it. More

We have always taken by the appearance of the Sonata so seemed like a good starting point. Erik DaPra was very knowledgeable and helpful in enlightening us to various features of each model. After test driving several vehicles and models, we decided on the 2015 Sonata and we are very pleased. We do not buy new vehicles regularly-we find something we like, we maintain it and keep it for several years. Salesman said no problem would have service department put one in. We did all paper work and drove car never thinking we should check battery now first cold snap car wouldn't start, check battery and putting out 200 cold cranking amps. Contact Van Horn figuring there would be warranty on battery. Only to find out they never changed battery and will not do anything for us. Not the way a good business treats customers. Before I even drove my car, the driver stopped to run an errand and backed into another car while on his cell phone, driving MY car. This was promised to be fixed right away, never was the case. A month later my car needed to get towed because of a faulty transmission. The car only had 44,000 miles on it. While my car was being towed the tow truck driver confirmed what others have said that the tread on my tires was worn, and I needed them to be replaced. I was puzzled why, because I put less than 3,000 miles on it since I owned it. After asking the technician, he referred me to the salesman, I waited 5 days for the salesman to get back to me and he said no we cannot replace the tires. I have not driven my "new car" (that was already in an accident when I owned it, but before I drove it) for a month, thinking that the person in charge would realize this was their mistake and to save a few of the headaches Van Horn has caused me, he would agree to replace the $300 tires for free. Instead he argued with me and offered a slight discount while refusing to buy the car back from me. Now I am stuck with this car with terrible tires and even worse customer support from the dealership backing it. Do yourself a favor, and do not waste your time here. I want to make it clear, my problem is with the inability and lack of presence of the management. Erik in sales, did his job and sold me the vehicle. I was failed by the management. Not once during the buying process was I approached by a management member and thanked for my business. Not once was I called and apologized to for the damage caused when the drivers technically stole my car to run an errand and caused an accident because the driver was not paying attention on his cell phone backing up my car. Even after all of this, Tim still made me wait a half an hour to even talk to my first management member during my entire experience. He still never apologized for any of the hassle caused by this car and dealership. I have requested numerous times to have this dealership stand behind the car and buy it back from me, and have been denied every time. The car has been in my possession for less than 60 days, and VanHorn refuses to buy back my car. Instead I am driving an unsafe car with no traction. I slid past a stop sign going 5 MPH last night and thank god no car was coming otherwise I would not be typing this right now. If that does not show you the character of the dealership, I don't know what would. To make matters worse: The salesman, not even a manager just called me and offered to pay for 2 tires, making me pay for the other 2 tires.. only if I removed all of my bad remarks online. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! I explained, I want nothing to do with this dealership, and to do the right thing and buy back the car so we can end this relationship. His response, "I'm busy, I'll have to call you back" I still have only had 2 contacts with the condescending management my entire experience, one insulted me by using a Wal*Mart reference the other showed up 25 minutes late and argued for 10 minutes with me while offering a slight discount to replace the unsafe tires. Unbelievable, all I want is them to stand behind their product and buy it back from me. Considering their driver stole my car to run an errand as a result he caused damage, the transmission went out at 44,000 miles, the tires are completely unsafe (but VanHorn is "concerned" about my safety, so they want me to pay more for snow tires from them) I have not come close to the quoted MPG and have only possessed my car for two months you would think they would be more than happy to stand by their product while honoring their commitment to customer satisfaction and buy it back from me?!?Unfortunately, common sense and competent management does not exist at this dealership. More
