Excellent Vehicles Car is fun to drive and has many features that I enjoy and could not find anywhere else. Warranty is unmet by any other brand. Car is fun to drive and has many features that I enjoy and could not find anywhere else. Warranty is unmet by any other brand. More

Criminal! INSIST ON SEEING THE CAR FAX. DO NOT TRUST THEIR AUTO CHECK REPORT. VAST DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TWO. EVEN AFTER I REJECTED THE FLOOD DAMAGED VEHIC INSIST ON SEEING THE CAR FAX. DO NOT TRUST THEIR AUTO CHECK REPORT. VAST DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TWO. EVEN AFTER I REJECTED THE FLOOD DAMAGED VEHICLE AND RETURNED IT TO THEIR FOND DU LAC STORE, TIM GOECKERMAN WENT BEHIND MY BACK AND HAD A TOTALLY SEPARATE LOAN FUNDED WITH A BANK I MADE NO AGREEMENTS WITH. AND HE DID THIS AFTER I TOLD HIM THAT I WANTED NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM OR ANY VAN HORN DEALERSHIPS EVER AGAIN. Below is what I posted on my facebook page... After the ordeal I had with purchasing from a dealership in Wisconsin on Saturday, a few good things did come out of it. I learned that flood damage to an "apparently new" vehicle is like cancer. The damage is there and it shows up at first as a simple check engine light. I learned that not everyone is as honest as I so naively believe them to be. And I learned that when we make a mistake, the first thing (and most important thing) is to simply admit it. I got really lucky that the check engine light came on just 3 miles after I left. Simply putting on the cruise control set off an alert that I believe was Gods way of telling me THIS IS NOT AS IT APPEARS! The extreme differences in the Autocheck report that the Hyundai dealership showed me and the Car fax report (which I did not see until Monday when I took the car in to Toyota) were telling a very different story. Still, the Employees at the Hyundai dealership insisted that the car fax was not the holy grail and that Wisconsin has a no rescind policy. It clearly states on the Car fax that the seller disclosed to the buyer at the dealers auction that the vehicle suffered from flood damage. The employees at Hyundai kept insisting to me that "we will fix the car and get this cleared off the car fax, it is a mistake and once we get this off the car fax Toyota will have to honor their 3 year/36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty." Little did they know that Toyota keeps their own records in service history database stating that the vehicle was taken in, suffering from flood damage and would no longer be covered under any warranty. WOW!!! All I had to do was send pics of this report to the lending company and they promised me not to worry that they will not be funding any such loan and they will not be trusting autocheck over Car fax ever again. It wasn't until after I mentioned the Toyota report to the top guy at Hyundai that he finally stopped pressuring me to keep this vehicle. In the end when I asked him how they planned to get this off the car fax anyway he never did tell me. Makes a person wonder????? Maybe they were able to "get it off" the autocheck? Either way, when he offered to "allow" me to spend my $33,500 on any vehicle I wanted from any of the 10 Van Horn dealerships, I was so quiet that he thought I hung up. I told him that I was just listening and thinking about all he was saying. After about a minute, I told him that I would rather take an uber to the greyhound station and bus it back to sweet home Chicago than to do any business with his dealership. About an hour later, I arrived at the dealership, parked the car, handed the one (and only) key to the greeter Brittany and walked right back outside to wait for the uber to arrive. Still waiting to see if they refund my $750 deposit. And just when I thought it couldn't get worse, that Tim Goeckerman bullied me via emails that were going to my spam and actually went without my consent and funded this loan with another bank that I never had any agreement with. And he did this AFTER he was made aware of the flood damage and the vehicle had been returned. Unbelievable. If this man does not get fired for this then we know that Van Horn is allowing this kind of behavior. I wish I could post pics of the Car Fax and the emails for everyone to see for themselves. Truly DESPICABLE!! More

Hyundai Sonata purchase Dealt with Beau in sales and found him to be unreliable, We requested a CarFax and was provided an AutoCheck instead at the time of signing papers (w Dealt with Beau in sales and found him to be unreliable, We requested a CarFax and was provided an AutoCheck instead at the time of signing papers (well after our request). Also asked him for a copy of all the papers that were signed and was assured they would be in the vehicle when it was ready for us. The vehicle was not washed (inside or out) as he told us it would be and the papers we requested were not in the vehicle. We believe we were not given the CarFax intentionally because as we were signing papers we found out the vehicle we were about to purchase (Hyundai Sonata) had a Lemon tag attached to it as well as structural damage. Evan in finance made light of both issues merely telling us they were minor issues. We reluctantly signed the papers because we had been there much longer than we planned with 3 small kids. The next day we were quite concerned about our purchase and had the vehicle inspected and it passed inspection. I did place a follow up call to Tim Goeckerman in management and found him to be helpful. Unfortunately, our overall experience was not good enough for us to return to this dealership. More
