Although I got a great price on a used vehicle at this dealership, my experience was less than appetizing. This was my first ever long distance internet purchase. I later flew into Milwaukee airport to dealership, my experience was less than appetizing. This was my first ever long distance internet purchase. I later flew into Milwaukee airport to pick up the vehicle after making the deal by phone. PROBLEMS: - Vehicle advertised as Certified, turns out wasn't an actual Certified vehicle. - Vehicle had bumper damage, I was promised by salesman that a NEW bumper would be installed. It wasn't, it was repaired satisfactorily, but when you are told it will be a NEW bumper, that is what you expect. - Vehicle sold as a GT Limited. Was just a GT, not a limited. Hyundai USA ran the VIN for me by phone and gave me the bad news. My bill of sale even says GT Limited. Tim Goeckerman, the General Manager at this dealership, is not the most customer friendly individual. Just because you get a good price doesn't and shouldn't mean that you have to accept false promises and false advertising (my opinion). I am considering legal (small claims action) against Tim G. and this dealership. I did get a nice car for the price, it was just all the other sour milk items I had to deal with that left a very bad taste in this customer's mouth! More
They may advertise themselves as no haggle and low pressure but this couldn't be further from the truth. I have been to over 30 dealerships in the last few months and they are BY FAR the highest press pressure but this couldn't be further from the truth. I have been to over 30 dealerships in the last few months and they are BY FAR the highest pressure and toughest negotiators. Salesman was rude and tried every trick in the book to get me to bite, when I didn't he was visibly upset. The Manager was nice though. Not saying this is a terrible dealership, just be prepared for the typical salesman tricks to get a good commissions. As long as you are on your toes and willing to walk away (which I did VERY quickly) you'll be alright. On a side note, I have to laugh at some of the reviews on here. Could Van Horn make it any more obvious they are writing their own good reviews? A little shady if you ask me... More
We have purchased vehicles in the past and were very happy with the experience. This is the first time that we have done business with Timothy Nielsen and we found him to be very friendly and eager to happy with the experience. Brandon was extremely helful and very easy to work with. The only problem i had was the length of time I had to cool my heels while waiting for your credit person. I had a very long ride back to Minneapolis and didn't get home until 1:00 AM the next morning. I truly appreciated the delivery option and felt that your pricing was extremely good. Again, my thanks to Brandon who was a great help. BRUCE SULLIVAN More

I've dealt with some salespeople who clearly didn't know anything about the car they were trying to sell! That wasn't the case with Brandon, who was very knowledgeable about the Hyundai line. I could have s anything about the car they were trying to sell! That wasn't the case with Brandon, who was very knowledgeable about the Hyundai line. I could have set up the Bluetooth connection after reading the manual (maybe), but Brandon took care of it (even tested it) before we left. Brandon stepped in when another dealership kept us in the dark about delivery for a month. The timing was good; the car came within 24 hours after we put money down. Maybe it was just a coincidence, but at least he and his sales manager cared about making the sale and had the expertise to give us a delivery window. Tim, the Finance Manager, made the usual sales pitch for the extended warranty and paint sealant. Unlike some I've dealt with, he was low key and knew when to stop. I thought I found the lowest interest rate possible, but Tim was able to beat it. This was my first experience with Van Horn, and I recommend them. Good dealership, good people to work with. More
Worst car buying experience ever! Went to buy an '08 Lincoln MKZ. Car was listed on the Internet for a good price but when we arrived at dealership window sticker listed repaired frame damage. When as Lincoln MKZ. Car was listed on the Internet for a good price but when we arrived at dealership window sticker listed repaired frame damage. When asked about details of the car salesman said he was not a car guy, he was a landscaper. After driving several cars we sat down to discuss details on one. Salesman would not give us a figure for our trade-in without requiring us to committing to purchasing the car. We ended up walking out because they would not give us a dollar figure for our trade-in. We called the next day to speak with a manager to get the deal back on track. Manager seemed understanding and willing to help. We struck a tentative deal. He said he would determine a trade-in price for our car and call us back. Two days later we still had not heard from him. We called again, we received a low figure for the trade in and details of the deal had changed. Manager said he would talk to GM and try to get more for trade-in and call back. Once again no call back. Had to call again several hours later to find out what was going on.. Seems like they do not want to provide any customer service. If it is not an easy sale the are not interested. More
Tom was friendly and easy to work with during the sales process. We set up an appointment at 1:00pm to pick up our car. We started the paper work at about 1:15pm with Tim Brenner (Business Manager). Tim process. We set up an appointment at 1:00pm to pick up our car. We started the paper work at about 1:15pm with Tim Brenner (Business Manager). Tim was friendly and not pushy on some of the extras but did explain things well. The paper work took about 20-30 minutes which I felt was reasonable, but then we had to wait for 1 hour for them to get our car ready. I'm not sure whose at fault on this. Any new car that I have ever purchased before from other dealers was always ready and waiting before we stared the paper work. More
