Service on new Cherokee Had to take it back due to a problem with the license plate mounting. We walked out We drove 2 hours to get to this dealer, they had the perfect car for us, we drove it and loved it and were ready to purchase the vehicle. Then came the sales pitch, which began with 'What can i do to put you in this vehicle TODAY". I should have known then it was going to be a negative experience but we loved the car so we persevered. We also persevered through what came down to being berated by the sales person and having to wait while he 'talked to his manager' and walked away from us 3 times to consult about the price. He asked me what I'm looking to pay, when I said my number he asked me repeatedly and borderline insultingly where I got that number. When i explained I did some research and used KBB pricing for purchasing that vehicle in excellent condition, I was told that they don't use KBB and that no dealer uses KBB. Ironically, when I visited the website tonight and looked up the car the very first sentence in the DEALER DESCRIPTION says "Priced below KBB Fair Purchase Price!" We were 1200 dollars away from owning the car we wanted, The price I gave them was actually the price the dealership had the car initially listed at in April 2019 - not 2 months ago, but they refused to meet that price citing some inspection and cleaning they did as a dealership to the car after receiving it. We ended up walking out when the manager came out and told us again they don't use KBB and that they would never meet the price we were looking for. All in all it was a terrible experience and instead of us leaving and chatting about the car we just bought over dinner we left and chatted about how awful that experience was. Very disappointing. He was very timely to give me the feedback on the vehicle and answered every question I asked, even going as far as explaining some things I wouldn’t have even thought to ask. My wife and I were treated very well, Chris was a real pleasure to deal with. He stuck around late on a Friday after closing hrs to tell me more about the car. Love the car, I’d recommend Chris and this dealership to everyone. This is the first place I’ll look when I buy my next vehicle! More
