I recently purchased a truck from Van Horn and wanted to share my experience. The Good: The sales process itself was excellent. I found the truck I wanted on their website and was able to get a very a share my experience. The Good: The sales process itself was excellent. I found the truck I wanted on their website and was able to get a very accurate out‑the‑door price—including a fair trade‑in estimate—just by emailing back and forth. They brought the truck down from their Plymouth location to Stoughton within a couple of days, and the test drive and purchase were smooth and pressure‑free. The pricing felt fair on both the new truck and my trade‑in. I did notice a few clear‑coat issues (a cloudy patch on one door and a small crater on the hood), but they took the truck to a local body shop to address them. A few tiny dirt nibs remain, but those are manufacturing defects and not something Van Horn caused. Why I Didn’t Give 5 Stars: I was asked to submit a Google review in the middle of the sales process, which felt awkward. I prefer being asked after everything is complete. I feel I was misled about the Zurich Shield paint protection. I asked specifically whether it was a ceramic coating and was told yes. Afterward, I learned it’s actually a spray‑on sealer—not a cured, multi‑year ceramic coating like I’ve had at other dealerships. I would not recommend purchasing Zurich Shield. When I first took delivery of the truck after they “detailed” it and applied the Zurich Shield, it was noticeably dirty—far from the spotless condition I’m used to when picking up a new vehicle. They did perform a full detail after the body shop visit, and it looked great then, but the initial delivery was disappointing. Communication during the body‑shop period wasn’t great. My truck was there for almost three days, and I didn’t receive updates unless I called to check in. Overall: Despite the issues above, I’m happy with my truck and the core sales experience. I would buy from Van Horn again, but I would skip the paint protection next time. More

For the second time, after an oil change, there was too much oil put into the engine. The only time that it was not overfilled was when I complained about the first time.
