I arrived at Vans on Sunday approx 9 am which was about a hr before they open. I was greeted by Patrick Ortiz. He and I began the usual negotiation ritual which was going well until an unknown sales manager hr before they open. I was greeted by Patrick Ortiz. He and I began the usual negotiation ritual which was going well until an unknown sales manager (not Dan who was supporting Patrick) felt he had to stick his nose in. Our discussion immediately started downhill. When I told this mgr that one of his uninformed statements was xx he told me "if you're going to swear at me get the xxxx out". It amazed me that a grown man especially a car salesman was offended by that term but I walked out. I later received a call from Patrick who was able to salvage our relationship. Long story short we were able to make a deal. Part of that deal was that our financing was to be thru a specific financial institution. We signed papers and left. Two weeks later we received paperwork from a totally different institution. When questioned ever employee involve admitted the deal was based on our chose of financing. They said that bank would not allow them to buy down the interest rate. I explained that this was their problem, not mine. After a week of leaving voicemails that were unreturned or talking to managers that "would check into it and get right back to me" with no call back I finally escalated the matter to Chuck Mullins, the General Mgr. He apologized and ultimately did get the situation worked out or so I thought. Two weeks later I received a call from the first bank saying my first payment was late. Another call and email exchange with Trena. Sent obtained a letter which basically said the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing. Again we assumed everything was good. WRONG! A few days later I received the registration from DMV. Vans had neglected to transfer my personalized plate so I now had a regular plate for my new vehicle. I called and the only person I could reach was Mr Smiley who informed me "that's your problem, you need to go to Motor Vehicle and transfer it". I explained that the plate had been on three vehicle prior and each time the dealer had transferred it. Patrick had removed the plate and we had conversation about it going on the new car. I had also mentioned it to the finance mgr. I had to go into work late and go to DMV to straighten this out. Since all of this I behave received a call from Chuck Mullins who is apologetic and admits they "screwed up on multiple levels". More

Bring all my cars to Van Chevy for service so when we needed to lease a new car we talked to a salesperson. Showed us a Buick and told us $2500 Down, $99 a month -Final. When we were ready a few weeks l needed to lease a new car we talked to a salesperson. Showed us a Buick and told us $2500 Down, $99 a month -Final. When we were ready a few weeks later we called and told him we'd be coming in. Showed up and he wasn't there so got to work with his boss. Told by him $4000 down $300 a month. And that was only if you had a non GM vehicle in the household. We have a Honda and a Toyota -we were told neither of those count. Finally got it to $3000 down $180 a month. The next day the person we originally spoke to called and we informed him of the differences. He told us again that he was correct in the $2500 down, $99 a month final. But wouldn't do anything. We were also in the market for a used car/truck and they want us to purchase from them on this car. No chance of that. We can't stand liars, and the fact that they all have different stories to the same car. Will still be taking my cars in for service as I love my advisor, but will not be buying again from them and won't be recommending them. More

Absolutely one of the worst car buying examples. This is why I always avoid buying car from dealers. Car listed for 16988... We got there to buy it... Guess what: 1850$ for inspection fee, and another 695 why I always avoid buying car from dealers. Car listed for 16988... We got there to buy it... Guess what: 1850$ for inspection fee, and another 695$ for protection fee. Total price over 20,000$. DO NOT GO SHOPPING THERE. We came there and Paul worked with us. Ridiculous that you guys add1850$ for inspection, and 650$ for the protection. Kudos and Appreciation for Ashley Salinas - Frustration with Purchase Experience On July 3rd we brought our recently purchased (used) Tahoe into Van's for service on a steering sensor. We had thought t with Purchase Experience On July 3rd we brought our recently purchased (used) Tahoe into Van's for service on a steering sensor. We had thought this to be warranty service because we had purchased the extended warranty when we purchased the vehicle a week earlier. From the onset Ashley was very warm and friendly and truly interested in servicing our needs. After the technicians had the opportunity to research the condition Ashely immediately contacted us to inform us on the issue and to provide us with frustrating news that the service was not going to be covered by warranty. Ashley handled my frustration very professionally and suggested that I call the sales department to see if they could work through the issue. We reached out to Dave Seifert on Wednesday afternoon, and he said he was not at the dealership but that he would look at in the morning and get back with me. The morning went by and I assumed that Dave made a mistake in saying "in the morning" considering the next day was the holiday. So we waited to see the response from Dave on Friday. By 10 AM there was still no response so I reached out to Dave for an update. He had not looked into the issue at all and said he would get back to us. About an hour later Ashley called to ask how things were going and what if anything the sales group was doing with the issue. I explained the lack of response so far and she said she would look into the situation. I asked Dave for an update and he had nothing but again said he would get back to me. Ashley called back a little later having worked through the issue and was able to get the service covered under warranty. Dave has still not gotten back to me. We received no less than three calls from Ashley keeping us informed of status and keeping us informed of when we could pick up the vehicle. When we picked up the vehicle Ashley walked us through the service and again showed genuine interest and concern for us. She had also realized that the door handles on the vehicle were flaking and researched that there was a recall on the interior handles and she had them replaced for us while the vehicle was at Vans. It was a nice surprise. We have had service done before at Vans and the Service group has always been 5 stars. Ashley gets 5 star stars across the board. This experience with service is what brought us into Vans to buy the Tahoe in the first place. I can not say enough how great the service group has been. This however is not the experience we had in purchasing a vehicle with your sales group and finance group. I would highly recommend your organization for service but I would not from a purchase stand point. Beyond the lack of response I expressed above there were many elements of the sales experience that left us frustrated. The service call accentuated the frustration when Ashley called to state that the warranty did not begin for 60 days and that if it had started immediately the parts would not have been covered. Both of these statements were very frustrating and not consistent with what we were told. I believe we were mislead on the warranty. First off we were NEVER told of it not starting for 60 days. The finance guy and Dave both new we were buying this vehicle to move back to Indianapolis on July 12. I bought the warranty for piece of mind during the road trip. I would have looked at something else if I had been told my biggest risk was not covered. To further frustrate matters I was told on several occasions that this warranty was a bumper to bumper all inclusive warranty. I was told it is so great it even covers oil changes and tires. I was told the only thing it did not cover was wear parts like brake pads. When all this was being shared I asked were is the fine print of the warranty. I was told there was information in the document envelope I would receive and that a package would come in the mail in about 30 days. In the mean time I was told any certified mechanic and 100 deductible (deductible waived at Vans) would get me back on the road. When I got home that night I went to my sales envelope and there was nothing on the warranty. I immediately called Dave and initially he said he could not do anything about getting me the details because that was a finance issue. On the day we picked up the vehicle (2 days later) nothing had been done about my request for more information on the warranty. I asked Dave about it and he brought me to a different finance guy that printed out some generic contract language but could not get me to what I actually signed for some reason. He assured me that I would get a package in less than 30 days. On the day of the sale we were in your dealership for 7 hours waiting for finance and others to get papers together. We already knew the vehicle would not be ready for 2 days, this was just waiting for answers and for finance. We had to consistently ask for Dave or ask where are the finance guys we had to meet to sign papers. We were forced to have negotiating discussions in the open lounge as opposed to sitting in an office or cubicle where the conversation was more private. It was not a very good experience. I know Dave is a new cars salesman and he was taking us around used cars because one of your mechanics referred us to him but the lack of follow through on many fronts has left me very frustrated with the process of purchasing a vehicle through your organization. Keith Maldonado is the Internet Sales Manager, yet he helped us every step of the way: from working with us via online to meeting with us when we went to the dealership. Overall, it was a great experienc helped us every step of the way: from working with us via online to meeting with us when we went to the dealership. Overall, it was a great experience with him and with Cody in the Finance Dept; and also with Mr. Cerreta. We were even called back a week later after signing all paperwork and driving off with the Silverado truck we purchased, because they had even worked on getting us a better contract with which lowered our car payment even more (that was also with the warranty we had also purchased)! Thank you Van Chevrolet for making buying a vehicle a POSITIVE experience! The guys at Van are all great and provide excellent customer service. Thank you! More
Yesterday my husband surprised with not One but Two New Cars! Unbeknown to me husband was working with Scott DALY to pull off this monumental event. The reason my husband went to Van's and asked to work wi Cars! Unbeknown to me husband was working with Scott DALY to pull off this monumental event. The reason my husband went to Van's and asked to work with Scott, was because of our daughter's outstanding experience a few weeks ago. We were not expecting the same kind of deal that she got, only that we be treated fair. Scott Daly, went ABOVE and BEYOND, our expectations! My husband is still talking about his experience working with Scott and the Van team....they were in his words "EXCEPTIONAL, UNBELIEVEABLE!" The personal attention, and competency of this incredible staff far exceeded our expectations! To say we will be back, is an understatement! To say " Will refer friends and Family to Scott Daly and Van's Chev."... is even a greater understatement....Of Course We Will... ! Never in my 61 years of dealing with buying a new car has it EVER been a good experience! This was an AMAZING first ! More
