I took my Chevy SSR into the Service Department for a flown fuse in the Air Conditioner and was told my extended warranty did not cover to find out why the fuse keep blowing and they Wanted to install in flown fuse in the Air Conditioner and was told my extended warranty did not cover to find out why the fuse keep blowing and they Wanted to install inline fuses to find out what keep blowing the fuse. It would cost me $550.00 to put the inline fuses in so they would know why it keep blowing and that the Extended Warranty did not cover it. I told them it was outragous and I would not have it done,so I was charged $130.00 with it not being fixed! I called the MPP Warranty Company to find out why they would not cover the repairs and they told me that Van Chevrolet never contacted them and that Manny Ramirez had never called, the Service Manager Shawn McEniry, called me 2 days later and took care of me and did all the work and did it at no charge! Thanks So Much Shawn...... More
My wife and I recently decided that it was the right time to look into buying a hybrid vehicle and after doing research on the cars we narrowed our choices down to three vehicles. The first of the three vehi to look into buying a hybrid vehicle and after doing research on the cars we narrowed our choices down to three vehicles. The first of the three vehicles we were going to test drive was located at Van Chevrolet in Scottsdale. Part of the research that I did was not only for the vehicle itself but the dealership as well, customer service is very big in my book and I wanted a dealership that was going to treat me as a person and not a number REGARDLESS of the outcome of the sale, during the research I noticed that a salesman by the name of Eric Francisco had an impeccable rating of 5 out of 5 stars, I had my pont of contact and I was going to make sure that he was going to be the one person that I needed to talk with to make the car buying experience as pleasant as possible for my wife and I. As we were coming all the way from Glendale I wanted to make sure that he was there as well as the vehicle in question so I called first, he was there as well as the vehicle, so off we went. After spending a little time talking to Eric and giving him the pertinent information we went out for a test drive on the vehicle and were impressed with most everything we saw with the vehicle, we finished the ride got back to the dealership and let him know that my wife and I were going to go to lunch and that I would be back to give him our answer, there was no pressure from these guys as we left, he recommended a restaurant nearby so we went and discussed the pros and cons of the vehicle and the way we were treated over some fine Italian food (which Eric actually repaid us for out of his own pocket). When all was said and done we walked away from lunch with the understanding that we liked the vehicle well enough to make an offer so we did, now comes the dreaded negotiating part that I was not looking forward to.....but the dreaded part never came. They (Eric and Smiley) actually listened to what I had to say and worked with me on a price that was fair to both party's, we were treated with "The golden rule". To make a long story short my wife and I drove away in a very nice car at a fair price, this car buying experience at Van Chevy would not have happened without Eric being the consummate professional and providing customer service to us at a level that I have personally never experienced from a car dealer....ever. We will most assuredly be letting the friends and people that we know that Eric & Smiley at Van Chevy are professionals that live out "customer service" in the car buying experience. I called about a new Volt. I was called back repeatedly, and practically harassed to come in when they did not even have the car I was looking for in stock. I was called so much I had to ask for them to pu and practically harassed to come in when they did not even have the car I was looking for in stock. I was called so much I had to ask for them to put me on their "do not call" list. A week later I was called again, a couple weeks later I was called again. Each time by different people who did not have the information to "not call me anymore." I ended up finding the model of car I wanted at another Chevy dealer and started talking to them directly, I am so glad that I did. I bought my car from much nicer and much more professional people before Van's stopped calling me. They even called me one more time after I told them I had already bought the car from another dealer! More
Vans is still using old "used car salesmanship". High pressure manipulative tactics. Not a pleasant experience. This feedback is provided hoping that you will reevaluate and change salesmanship". High pressure manipulative tactics. Not a pleasant experience. This feedback is provided hoping that you will reevaluate and change the customer experience. We purchased our car at a different dealership - much farther away - but they provided a more pleasant buying experience with respect for the consumer - not manipulation. More
This was my second purchase at Van Chevrolet and I have to say the experience is always a comfortable, friendly, no hassle, no pressure, straight shooting experience. Drew and his team really are commenda to say the experience is always a comfortable, friendly, no hassle, no pressure, straight shooting experience. Drew and his team really are commendable demonstrating a respect and an understanding of my financial situation and doing everything in their power to work within my financial parameters. Highly recommend them. Best in the Valley! I can say that none of the other Chevy dealers in the valley came close to offering me the deal that Van offered for the vehicle I wanted. Yet, Van was able to pull it off! They always manage somehow to do it! More
Do not deal with Colter, as he is incompetent. We went in, and I knew to the dollar what the out the door price had to be, which ensured that we would have the payment we needed. We told him that I was p in, and I knew to the dollar what the out the door price had to be, which ensured that we would have the payment we needed. We told him that I was prequalified for the loan amount, and I would handle my own financing (@2.75%). This is music to any car salesman’s ears. We were trading in my girlfriend’s car, and he matched the trade-in value that we received at another dealership, without even seeing it. We were rolling in some negative equity, which we made him aware of. We were looking at a 2012 Malibu LT, and he said that due to rebates he could get us into a 2013 LT for virtually the same price. We negotiated through phone calls and email, and came to a price that was very close. I have an email from him with the breakdown of the negative equity, trade in value, and out the door price. He emailed me and said he would not lose my business over a couple hundred dollars, and asked when we could be there. We went to the dealership to sign the papers. He went and got his manager (Drew Luis), and disappeared. Drew said that there was no way that he could do the deal that was agreed upon, and that he had no idea from where Colter came up with his numbers. In reality, that isn’t my problem. We wasted two weeks dealing with this putz. Drew really didn’t know what to say. Eventually, Drew said that they had a fleet of 2012s coming in, with 0 miles. He said the rebates were huge, and that he would do everything he could do to make things right. Another lie. He was supposed to call us and let us know when they arrived, and also agreed to email me with pricing, so I could run my numbers. That didn’t happen either. We finally called him, and found out that half of the lot had already been sold, and he had yet to even let us know that they had been there for several days. We went back to the dealership (WHY?) and sat down with Drew. He had the car looked at, and the trade-in value was cut in half. Essentially, he did less than nothing for us. He told me again that he, or someone else would work up some more numbers and email them to me. That was almost two weeks ago. I asked him, as well as people within their ‘online team’ for the contact of someone higher up, that is not at the local facility, but for some reason, nobody can do so. I have been in sales for many years. I have messed up transactions, and misquoted prices, but when the customer sends me a purchase order, or we have an agreement, you eat the cost. Everyone knows that the real money is in aftermarket. It’s a scam; we were burned, and it’s pathetic. More
The sales team at Van Chevrolet were more than helpful. They really helped us get to the price we wanted to pay. The thing that stuck out to me the most is when Eric Francisco, who was the salesman helpin They really helped us get to the price we wanted to pay. The thing that stuck out to me the most is when Eric Francisco, who was the salesman helping us with our new vehicle, was helping me set up my onstar. My husband had already left and I did not have a credit card with me. Eric got out his OWN personal credit card and paid for 300 minutes of talk time. He did not have to do that but out of the kindness of his own heart, he did that for us. Eric Francisco, Ryan Strand and Wayne Reese made us feel comfortable and were not pushy. They really listened to what we needed and they made it happen. Thank you for all your help! More
I bought a used car back in January 2012. I was in a wheelchair and needed a car to fit my wheelchair and also be low enough to slide over. The car was a 2011 Buick Lacrosse 19k miles. After driving the wheelchair and needed a car to fit my wheelchair and also be low enough to slide over. The car was a 2011 Buick Lacrosse 19k miles. After driving the car a month we noticed noises coming from the car, and the front bumper coming off. We told (ron) the salesman, he told use to bring it in to get it fixed. When we brought it in, they tried to have us trade it in, car not fixed. Another 2 months later oil started leaking, and we brought the car in for an oil change and to get the leak fixed. Another attempt to trade the car was made. I was out of the wheel chair and need something I could sit up straight in that wasnt low to the ground. Vans chevrolet let me know the warranty was up(30k) and the could get me in a truck with no money down, if I traded the Buick in for another car. At this time I was dealing with the used car salesman (ron),a sales trainee and 2 sales managers. I was lead to believe I was getting the truck and getting rid of the buick, until it was time for signing. Vans did not want the car back and the deal was off. Its now Nov and I took my car in for an oil change, and told Colter motor company my story. They fixed my buick under warranty, which I was 200 miles til it expired at 50k. And they Coulter let me know The car was in and accident before. (radiator bracket bent, water pump changed, steering gear changed and front cover oil leak fixed. The bumper cover falling off could not be fixed on warranty) I CAN NOT believe a company could treat me so bad, lie to me, and take advantage of me. After multiple credit checks (6) it shows on my credit. And I realize the carfax probally lowered the cars value that they didnt want it back. Im glad Coulter Motor Company fixed most of the cars problems. Its to bad a company selling a great GMC product can have horrible customer service. More
We drove 175 miles to be told the vehicle we wanted had been sold. Then Damon tried to sell us a demo vehicle with 2000 miles for more with less options than original vehicle.I WOULDN'T recommend this deale been sold. Then Damon tried to sell us a demo vehicle with 2000 miles for more with less options than original vehicle.I WOULDN'T recommend this dealer to anyone based on how their ETHICS of business operate.VERY UN PROFESSIONAL & wont be doing ANY business with this CIRCUS.... Save yourself some time & go with a dealership who APPRECIATES NEW & REPEAT CUSTOMERS.... He was only about the here & now, not future business. Also, he dinged my credit running 3 hard inquiries, when one would've been sufficient. More

I sent my parents to the dealership and they are snowbirds. So they drive from home to arizona for 6 months.my dad is very elderly and right away when. He walked in (my father) and smiley heldthe door and quickly seated him and my mother. They wereso tired already from coming back to azsmiley quickly asked for them to have waterand coffee. He made them feel comfortable andat home. Smiley took his time and took care of all their needs. He has a compassionate understanding of the elderly and didn't hesitate to be less than perfect. I am always happy to send my family and friends to Van because ofmanagers and employeeslike Smiley. I am always impressed and his level of proffessionalism is amazing. This is our second purchase at van and not our last. If you go to van make sure you meet Smiley he is good at what he does but he understands the customer wants and needs. And you are heard when you are there. More
