Lied to about work done and overcharged for amount used I have had my truck serviced to this facility 4 times. The first time, the service consultant lied to me about work I had asked to be done that was n I have had my truck serviced to this facility 4 times. The first time, the service consultant lied to me about work I had asked to be done that was not. This time (the 4th) I asked that the DEF fluid be topped off along with the service. I questioned the charge amount and was told they had put 4 gallons in. I said that is odd because I had just put 4 ½ gallons in (a 5 ½ gal tank) a few hundred miles ago so he went back and checked. After which he said OH, they only used 2 gallons and took 40 bucks off the bill.. I have major concerns that I have to verify everything that is done to: one, make sure it is done and two, that I am not being overcharged for what is done… Then I start wondering, are they really putting the right grade oil in and did they really change my fuel filter…. More

Had a mechanical problem, drove in without an appointment. Service Advisor Kosta spoke with a couple of technicians, and they were able to tag-team the multiple repairs needed. Been driving it a week and so far all repairs are holding. Makes me happy, because the vehicle in question is a 1998 Tahoe, with 139,000 miles that I use for camping, hunting and fishing trips. It has taken a beating these past 19 years and Vans techs have kept it running like new. When I bought the Tahoe new at Vans, Chuck Mullins was the G M in 1998 and it is reassuring just to know he is still here. And also the reason have my repair work done at Vans rather than at a independent shop. More
