You know that feeling you get when you meet someone who seems like he wants to be your best friend but really only wants you to buy something? That is how I felt about this dealership. It kind of reminds me of timeshare salesmen, as soon as you don't do what they say, you are of no use to them. If that's what you are looking for, by all means go to Valley Honda, but if not, I would avoid this place. I definitely will not be going back. UPDATE: After posting my review I received a phone call from Bob, the owner of the dealership. He was very apologetic and wanted to know what went wrong so he could make things better in the future. He seemed very sincere and I honestly believe he was upset with how we were treated. I would be willing to give Valley Honda another chance. More
I have purchased two Hondas at this dealership and have yet to be disappointed by anything. They had a great choice of vehicles and I got a great deal on my trade in. I went into Valley Honda on a Tuesday. The Friday before that Tuesday, I went into a Kia dealership. I told the sales guy at Kia that I wanted a certain car for around $400 a month with no down payment and that Tuesday, I went into a Kia dealership. I told the sales guy at Kia that I wanted a certain car for around $400 a month with no down payment and a term of 60 months.. He showed me the car I wanted, but was not very knowledgeable on it. After a test drive we got to the numbers. He approached me with a quote of $5000 down and a payment of $727 a month for 36 months. None of those numbers matched up to what I had just said to the sales guy a few minutes prior so I got up and walked out. Now back to Tuesday, I went into Valley Honda and was met by Jose Lopez. I told him what I was looking for, the price I was looking for, and how many months in the terms. It took Jose one shot, he got me the car I wanted for the price I wanted. I did not need to go back and forth like the typical car buying experience. When showing me the car Jose was able to tell me everything I needed to know, he even preset my radio stations for me! I would strongly recommend going to Valley Honda and working with Jose. More
We had an exceptional experience at Valley Honda when we bought our new CRV, largely because of Kurt Gonzales, our Sales Manager, and Andy Kovalsky, our Salesman. We never felt "pressure" to make a quick d bought our new CRV, largely because of Kurt Gonzales, our Sales Manager, and Andy Kovalsky, our Salesman. We never felt "pressure" to make a quick decision. In fact, after test driving more than one car and working through numbers, we were offered a great deal at a great price, including the value of our trade in. Andy and Kurt were so friendly and respectful when we decided to "think about it" over the weekend, promising to honor the deal when we decided. We loved the car, so it didn't take us long. We called Monday morning to make an appointment with them and they were both there to greet us at the door when we walked in! All of the "add ons" (extended warranties, etc) were explained to us, but we were never pressured like we had been in other car buying experiences. The delivery of the car was fun...Andy was very knowledgable about the car and took time to teach us it's technical features, it was beautiful and shiny and we were very happy with our purchase. We highly recommend Valley Honda; it's a beautiful facility with a very nice waiting room and service area. We highly recommend Andy and Kurt too! We love our beautiful new car! More
12/7/2013 - I dread buying cars due to the typical sales approach so many car dealers use. I needed to get a 3rd car for our family and was interested in Honda's. I had a bad experience at the Lisle Honda D approach so many car dealers use. I needed to get a 3rd car for our family and was interested in Honda's. I had a bad experience at the Lisle Honda Dealership so I went to Valley Honda. The day I went, it was only 15 degrees outside. We were met by a young man named Alex Soto. He came out in a sweater. I told him what I wanted. What made me relax about Alex was his causal demeanor. He showed me what I needed to see based on what I told him and I felt I could of left at any time without the high pressure of most car sales tactics. He asked the right questions and did not try to sell the obvious. I felt like he was doing me a favor and wanted to help. As we went inside, my wife and I waited in their waiting room. I was then approached by a man who introduced himself to me as Bob, the owner. He was going around and saying hello to people and wishing them happy holidays and thanking them for coming into his store. He was friendly and genuine and we talked about everything but cars. He, like Alex, was not threatening or invasive and I did not feel at anytime like I was cash ready to be picked off the floor. At this point, I knew if they could do what i needed to get done, I did not need to go elsewhere and look. We worked a deal and I felt good about it. Thank you Alex and Bob and I look forward to working with you in the future. More
I had an amazingly easy experience with Kyle. I made an appointment with Kyle several days ago and met up with him Thursday December 5th. The experience was easy and straight forward. He immediately walked me to the Accord I inquired about and we went for a test drive. After the test drive he didn't pressure me to buy the car - he simply asked "what can I do for you next?" I asked for the best deal possible and we sat down to discuss prices. Not only did he get me a deal below the price I was expecting, but we came to an agreement in record time. The negotiating took all of 45 minutes maximum. He came back with a great rate as well which blew my credit unions offer out of the water. Even while waiting in the finance department Kyle came back twice to check on me and made sure that everything was okay. He even took the time to see me off in my new car and said to call him if I had any issues or questions (and I know he genuinely meant that). I will refer anyone and everyone I know to this dealer. I also need to mention that I brought my Dad along with me since this was my first car buying experience and being a recent college grad, I felt I'd need him to help me avoid getting ripped off. The deal we got was so great that my Dad left before the whole process was finished because he trusted Kyle and the dealership so much. This guy deserves more than a 5 out of 5. I am very satisfied.
