Mrs. Jones dropped off vehicle with Advisor via early bird envelope so that she could get shuttle that was leaving, telling Jeff that she needed a service. Jeff pulled keys codes and found that the car needed a service which is more than an oil change, ie. (LOF, microfilter,front and rear brake inspection, adjust parking brake as necessary and reset service interval monitor)per BMW. Jeff called Mrs. Jones letting her know his recomendation of the service and also of the induction service and brake flush service recomendation due to mileage. Mrs Jones said she had to call her husband and I think that there was a loss of comunication of what was recomended and Mr. Jones thought that an oil change was costing $369.00 when in fact a straight oil and filter cange is $140.00. The communication of what was neede should have been done between the advisor and Mr. Jones so there would not have been any miscommunication. I am sure that Mr Jones called the other dealers only asking for an oil change and not for a BMW service per key read. The two other items were only recommendations per the miles on the car and was not manditory to be done. As far as the induction service, this is a BMW recommened service and done with BMW equipment and parts.

So why when you were directly asked, "Why is an oil change $369" and 'you' responded 'because its all the other wonderful things' did you not offer her a $140 dollar oil change? My wife handles communications on a daily basis involving billions of dollars a year in transactions - I think that clearly repudiates any claim you might have that she's the one with the communication problem. I can only hope that this provides you an opportunity to improve your service department.

I apologize for any miscommunication on or service advivors part and he has been counceled on what should have happened and how the presentation of the suggested work should have been discussed, but unfortunitly it did not happen that way and it is clearly our fault and this is not the way we run our company. If you would consider coming back in, I would like to do a complimentary oil change at N/C for your inconvience. If so please call mr (Rick Crivier) and I will set it up. Thank you for the info because without this we can not make improvements.
