I dropped my vehicle off at 5:30 and received a phone call from Karina before noon the next day letting me know what the issue was and professional. Found my contact at the repair department (Bonnie Hamm) was a well informed and articulate lead person to deal with during our repair. She was able to estimate the day we could drop off car and was within was a well informed and articulate lead person to deal with during our repair. She managed to have the repair cost come in under the first quote and the work on the car was exemplary. We highly recommend the Val Ward Cadillac repair facility and especially the staff. PS My car is not a Cadillac, a Ford actually, but we were treated as if we just bought a new Caddy. More
I was pleased with the service I received plus the Uber transport home and then the car was dropped off after being repaired. The labor was much higher than I thought fair but that was not negotiable and I transport home and then the car was dropped off after being repaired. I was in for service on March 14, 2025, for an oil change, a 3-point flush, and my Tire Monitoring System light was on. Those repairs were made, and I left the shop after paying the $637. On my way home, I started to receive a message on my dash that my power steering assist was reduced. In addition, my AC was blowing hot air, and my car’s temperature gauge was not moving at all. I came back in the following morning for those items to be addressed. I was told that my thermostat needed to be replaced, and it would be around $1500. My husband and I ok’d the work, despite the fact that the vehicle was fine before Val Ward touched it, and we left. At 8:15am, we received a phone call that our spark plugs needed to be replaced, and it would be much cheaper to do it now since the housing unit would already be opened and a part to take care of the thermostat. We ok’d that RO as well. At 11:52am, we received a call that the vehicle was ready. First, I want to say that Jane is fantastic! I would not want any other service advisor assigned to my vehicle. She truly is an asset to Cadillac. My issue is with the total charges for the bill. We were charged $208.88 for the thermostat and corresponding parts, and a whopping $1,069.09 in labor. In addition, we were charged $149.94 for the spark plugs, and another $150 in labor. That is $1,219.09 in labor alone!! For not even 3.5 hours of work! That amounts to $348.31 per hour for labor, assuming our vehicle was actually worked on for 3.5 hours (it wasn't). I am very disappointed and upset over this. I did contact Val Ward right away, and as of yet, I have had no response. UPDATE - Day 1 after receiving the vehicle - we did not drive it. Day 2 - we had to have it TOWED back to Val Ward because the vehicle was overheating. Why? The "certified" tech forgot to seal the coolant pipe and the vehicle had absolutely no coolant in it. Brillant. Run far and fast from this place. More
