After 2 days, about 20 emails and a few phone conversations, we felt comfortable going up to drive the car with an intent to trade in our car. Everything we discussed in emails/phone was exactly what was done - trade in value was the same, car was in great shape, and the financing discussed was the same. No switches. We bought the car after a short testdrive, and took car of paperwork and everything in under an hour. They were very understanding while my wife and 2 young kids hung around and we kept them after business hours on a Friday. Both AJ were personable, honest and I enjoyed working with them. If we get around to buying a volvo someday will definitely go there first, but also worth it to check out the place for their used cars! More
AJ was very professional, and had great knowledge of the car, as well as their inventory. There was no games and none of the typical pressure stuff. I strongly recommend dealing with him. I also dealt with Greg in the financing, and he too was great; got down to the point and we were out of there in no time. Overall experience was very nice, with a smooth and super fast transaction. I live 110 miles away from this dealership, but these guys made it worth the drive. More
My overall experience was so positive at University Volvo in Charlotte. AJ responded to my online inquiry immediately about the S60, and I was very happy with the price he quoted me. That's important to me. Greg was terrific too; in my past experience, it has usually been stressful with the finance manager but his "light" personality kept things easy for me and I actually liked talking to him and completing the financing at the same time. I have been looking at the S60 at a New York dealership where I live and they really didn't want my business - the price was too high and there was no followup with me in the weeks after. Visiting Charlotte I took a chance and inquired about the car and was thrilled that they wanted my business and did what it took to get it. Everyone was very helpful and friendly at University Volvo; I appreciated that. This is the 4th Volvo I have bought; this dealership was the best for sure. Thank you. More

Took our 2005 Volvo S60 to replace the ECM due to Check Engine Light being on. Instead they thought the problem was a fuel sensor module. Not that! Second they said it was the coolant fan, replaced that. N Engine Light being on. Instead they thought the problem was a fuel sensor module. Not that! Second they said it was the coolant fan, replaced that. Not that either. Then they were sure it was the wiring harness. Guess again, not that either. Then they said it must be the ECM. But guess what? They didn't order one because they thought we would trade it in on a new one because, buy this time the bill had reached $3,500.00.Guess what? even though my wife had driven Volvo's for 30 years, it will be a cold day in xxxx before we buy another one! By the way an independent Volvo Mechanic had checked it out first and said it was the ECM, but he didn't have one of those computers to varify that,and didn't want to ripp us off buy buying one and that not being the problem. Evidently University Volvo has one that must have been made in China! Ca-ching, Ca-Ching, one more sucker! Well after nearly six weeks we finally get our car back, and guess what, It wasn't the ECM either.How they went back to the stoey about it being a "chafe" in the wiring system, but could not show me where or tell me where it was. During our meeting with the Service Mgr., she told us "if she knew the repair was going to be so much trouble, she would have sent it back out the door". Not much confidence in the service dept,. But that ain't all, she then told my wife "not to bring her back for any service, not even an oil change". Oh yea! during the meeting we were told that they changed out the fuel pump. News to us. Then we were told that they took off all the parts off that they had put on, but when we ask for the fan motor back that we had already paid for she told us that that had put it back on. Obviously there is a problem with communication, among other things, within the dealership. Basicly we don't know what was wrong with the car. I've have my own thoughts on how they made the check engine light go off. Clip Clip!! More
