Took my F-350 in for oil change. When I got my truck back, there was grease and oil on the front fenders and hood. I found the truck that I’ve been looking for at Tuscaloosa Ford. I’m glad I went and checked the dealership out.Ryan helped me with everything I needed in the purchase. Everyone was super helpful. The salesperson did a fantastic job working my deal. He was patient, polite, and answered all of my questions. They weren’t pushy. Awful experience and terrible customer service from start to finish. Everyone I spoke with in the service department was unorganized. Long wait to check in even though I scheduled the service in advance. N to finish. Everyone I spoke with in the service department was unorganized. Long wait to check in even though I scheduled the service in advance. No call or text back the entire time. Kept my truck for 3 days for routine scheduled service. Told me the same thing every time I called to check on the truck and tried to upsale me constantly. Then when the finally told me the truck was ready when I called I show up and they are surprised to see me and I have to wait another two hours while they call for warranty approval that they told me the day before was complete. I will drive an hour away to Bessemer Dealer for future service. This place is absolutely struggling. More
Got my truck serviced. Asked them to check a tire that was low as well. They said the tire was fine just needed some air. Two days later, I wake up to find the tire flat. Local tire store found a nail in was low as well. They said the tire was fine just needed some air. Two days later, I wake up to find the tire flat. Local tire store found a nail in it and made the repair. A week after the service, made a 100+ mile trip. When we stopped, smoke was pouring from under the hood. Raised the hood to find the oil cap off and the engine covered in oil. I had to put almost a whole quart of oil in the engine. I called the service manager 3 times over a week and a half. I never got an answer or any return calls from the messages I left. I had another issue with them but this was the last one. Do not take your vehicle to Tuscaloosa Ford for service! More
Got an oil change, when picked up the vehicle the oil cap was left off sitting on top of front clip, check engine light came on the dash 5 minutes down the road. I sent my 17 year old son to have his oil changed with a coupon that stated the oil change and inspection would be $49.95. We had just had a new crate motor installed. This was the break-in oil change. T coupon that stated the oil change and inspection would be $49.95. We had just had a new crate motor installed. This was the break-in oil change. They did the inspection and did not change the oil. We did not find out until the next oil change that they didn't do it and the service rep said the oil change was not included Will not ever do business with Tuscaloosa Ford again. There are other reputable business who will get my business. More
If I could write this place 0 stars I would. Scheduled a service visit for my 3 week old truck and despite being given a scheduled time I was told they wouldn't be able to look at it for three to four days service visit for my 3 week old truck and despite being given a scheduled time I was told they wouldn't be able to look at it for three to four days and couldn't provide any rental or courtesy vehicle. This is absolutely ridiculous for a brand new vehicle. I will be driving to Hoover or Birmingham for any future service. Edit to add: Called Long-Lewis in Hoover, got an appointment the next day with guaranteed courtesy vehicle. Most pleasant change from the above experience at Tuscaloosa Ford. Will be using them exclusively. The customer experience difference is every bit worth the extra drive. More
AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL - Sales Associate, Frank Friscia is AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL - Sales Associate, Frank Friscia is not an honest salesman. He is not reliable and not an effective communicator. When inquiring AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL - Sales Associate, Frank Friscia is not an honest salesman. He is not reliable and not an effective communicator. When inquiring about a vehicle I had seen online, Frank reached out to me, sent videos of the vehicle going through (what should have been 120-point inspection); video of the vehicle interior and exterior (body). Scheduled an appointment to see the vehicle and was advised that several parts were on order and we could purchase the vehicle "AS IS" and bring the vehicle back in once the parts were in. The vehicle was test driven and several things were noted. Frank was asked many times if the vehicle had leaks of any type or any issues and he responded, "NO LEAKS, NO LEAKS", the CARFAX report was provided upon request and other questions were answered. From the initial inquiry via social media, Friday, January 8, 2021, and Frank reaching out to me on Saturday, January 9, 2021 to finalizing the deal on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Frank lied to us about the vehicle having no leaks. Valve cover gaskets, water pump, front tire end rod all had to be replaced and the steering wheel had to be aligned (all these things an actual 120-point inspection and not a rush to sale job would have caught. He did not follow-thru like he said he would. We would have to call and check on the status after being told he would contact us. If he did call, it would be late in the evening to say the vehicle is not going to be ready today. Fail to relay to mechanic what the actual problem is after the client has bought it to his attention. Just flat out lie and say he did not know anything about it (clearly stating the problem via text or provided by a memo) or would say he did not understand what was being said (If that was the case, call and ask for clarity). Simply just did not care once the deal was sealed but lied during the entire deal. Attitude of not wanting to be bothered. Clearly his name should not be attached with Ford and he would be beneficial working as a used car lot that sale lemons. Sean Smith, Sales Manager – January 19, 2021 you appeared and presented us with Tuscaloosa Ford EIC Sheet to show what work had been done to the vehicle and you even knocked off a few hundred (Thanks), however when we returned with the vehicle 2 days after purchased for something that was on the list of things that should have been corrected, You responded with “I’m not a mechanic, I don’t know anything about it”. You passed the keys off to another sales associate. He is rude, arrogant and does not know how to speak to people. Jai Spates, you were given the keys from Sean Smith and we provided you with the issues that were going on with the truck. However, you failed to relay to Frank (who was busy with another customer) what all those issues was. Since the purchase of the truck, January 19, 2021. It has been to Tuscaloosa Ford five different times. Several times for issues on the original checklist and others that should have been caught had it gone through a proper 120-point inspection and once due to carelessness of the mechanic. Every time we pulled up, Jai would cowardly avoid us and whisper to Frank Alex Whitehead, Sales Manager. OUTSTANDING JOB, THANK YOU for stepping in when I refuse to see Sean or Frank. I needed assistance and you came through. You were sincere and wanted to know if you could help and I said “NO” because of what I had been dealing with, but you listened and stated you had no knowledge of any of the situations and you would investigate it. You did just that. You took the charge, chatted briefly with Frank and Sean. You proceeded to the back and came back with information. You gave me your number; asked for mine, said you would follow up and you have done just that. You contacted me the next day to let me know what was going on and from that day to this…you have made yourself available and provided the best service. The real definition of a Sales Manager and compassionate human being. Alex Whitehead, Job Well done! More
