I was looking to buy my first truck and couldn’t be more pleased with my purchasing experience. I was looking through the inventory and Samuel Wendland instantly came out to talk to me, and help me decide w pleased with my purchasing experience. I was looking through the inventory and Samuel Wendland instantly came out to talk to me, and help me decide which vehicle would best suit my needs. I picked out a truck and every step of the way Samuel, along with all of the ford team members, were very professional, friendly, and made sure I was treated with the up most respect. I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for their next ford purchase. More
Took my 2014 Ford Focus car to Tuscaloosa Ford due to check engine light on and trans not shifting correctly. I was told that the TCM had failed and needed to be replaced. I was also told that the part w check engine light on and trans not shifting correctly. I was told that the TCM had failed and needed to be replaced. I was also told that the part was on nationwide back order with Ford and they didn’t know when the part would be available to fix my car. I found a new TCM online so I purchased it to get my car back running. I went to the dealer to get my car so I could replace the TCM myself due to it wasn’t purchased through Tuscaloosa Ford. The service director asked me to please bring the part to him and he would flash it and install it for free due to car had been at his shop for 30 days. He also expressed that he wanted my business in the future. I expressed that I’ve had bad experiences with them in the past and really didn’t trust them. He assured me that it was the previous service manager and that’s why he no longer works for them is because of the same issues. I agreed to let them install my new part. So I gave them the part and was told it would be ready in two days. A week later after multiple calls,I was told that the trans needed to be replaced because it was damaged when the TCM failed. My wife drove the car to them and dropped it off. They proceeded to give me a quote of $4,600 to repair my car. I told them that I wasn’t going to pay them that price to repair my car. They gave me the number to ford corporate to see if they would help. I was told they would cover the cost of the TCM but no help with the trans repair. I called the service director back and told him what ford had said. He told me that he would see if he could get me some help with the trans. After numerous calls and another week later they finally told me that they could help me with my trans repair. I told them that I would be picking my car up. They proceeded to tell me that my car isn’t drivable and it won’t start. Remember my wife drove the car to the shop for them to repair. I paid a wrecker company to tow the car back to my house. I repaired my car later that week for about four hours of my time and some contact cleaner. Cost was $5 can of contact cleaner versus$4600 ford quote. I have been driving my car for the last 5 days with zero issues. I called Tuscaloosa Ford earlier this week trying to talk to the service director. They told me he was available and asked for my name. I gave them my name and just guess he wouldn’t take my call. I let him a voice mail and haven’t heard anything back from them. This dealer is such a joke on the professional level and is scamming people everyday. Please don’t take your vehicle to them for any repairs unless you like getting scammed. More

I bought a ford f-150 in November at Tuscaloosa ford (5801 McFarland Blvd E, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405) along with a warranty. IN Dec. they "reset computer" because the windows wouldn't roll up. In Feb. I (5801 McFarland Blvd E, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405) along with a warranty. IN Dec. they "reset computer" because the windows wouldn't roll up. In Feb. I had the same issue and dropped the truck off on Friday and ford kept truck for weekend. In March check engine light came on. I travel for work so when I got into Tuscaloosa i dropped the truck of f on the eighth and told the service person i needed to head back to Kentucky the tenth. The ninth ford said they hadn't had a chance to figure out the problem but had vehicle in shop. The tenth i went to ford at noon and the truck was parked in the same spot and same way i had parked it. I went in and spoke to the "service" person and he told me i could rent a car and go and ford would pay for it. When the truck was ready i could turn the rental in and come pick up truck. I am working in Kentucky. We had a conversation about me working in Kentucky and the gentlemen told me that was no problem i could turn in the vehicle i rented anywhere. As it seemed like a long walk to pick up my truck i asked to speak to his supervisor. His supervisor immediately said they would not rent a vehicle. He did however offer to look at the codes on my truck. When he checked the codes he immediately knew what the problem was. He went to the front of the truck and opened the air filter housing, there was a mouse nest with dead mice in the housing. He told me it was problem he had seen several times (mice climb into the air filter housing when it gets cold). changed my filter and told me he wouldn't "put it in the computer" because it would void my warranty. I had to be in Kentucky so i took the truck and left. I would however wonder: How do mice void my warranty? if this is a common enough problem in ALABAMA where it doesn’t get cold why is there not a screen on the inlet? Check engine light came back on the same day on my way to Kentucky More
Had a broken sunglasses holder on my Ford Explorer and was still under the new car warranty. It took over a week to get the part and after it was repaired, there were greasy fingerprints all over the roo was still under the new car warranty.
