I was 90 miles away and ran over a nail. It was too close to the sidewall for a guaranteed fix. A tire store did fix the tire with no guarantee and I limped back home. I called Hyundai because I did buy the tire, wheel, road hazard warranty. warranty told me it was covered so I eased into the dealership the next day. I explained what had happened and they took the vehicle to be checked. Two hours later I was told there is no evidence of a tire patch, plug or any other damage. They just put the hard sell on me for a "Battery Protection Package" for $39.95. The vehicle is 5 weeks old! So, nothing was done. I will call Hyundai USA to go on record that I have a tire that is now iffy and if it goes flat at any speed I will need a new wheel and tire. As I checked the tire monitor when I left the dealership three of the tires had less pressure than when I left my home {32 vs 34} and the left front where the nail was, had 39 vs 34 AND the valve cap was missing. I was not pleased. I apprised the service writer of this and he told me if I would come right back, they would correct it. Nope, I'm 30 miles away! I am not very happy ! More
