THEIR PROFESSIONALISM WENT OUT THE DOOR/NO SALE & KEPT R $ I have to say when my husband and I stopped in to look at an XT5 we thought we saw one on the lot we liked mid June and put a deposit down. We still had to decide which model I could drive out of the 3 that my husband suggested for us so that our new car was the best fit for both of us purchasing a vehicle we would both drive. After going back again so that I could test drive it myself I realized it wasn’t a good fit for me. We had narrowed down our top 3 choices. My husband and I wanted to give our rep Rick Sarter and his supervisor Russ (whom we dealt with both and spoke to on more than one occasion) the courtesy of saying thank you & explaining the 3 reasons why we chose not to go with the XT5. It was only then Rick told us about their xt4 coming in Nov but we couldn’t wait at that point and politely asked Russ for our $1,000. deposit be refunded that day instead of waiting to the foll Monday and Russ said, “no problem.” Well apparently they neglected to tell us that it was “their policy” we found out 11 days later after phone calls and emails that it took them 10 DAYS to put through a credit back on our card! NO SUCH POLICY ever mentioned when they took our money! Yet another GMC dealer we dealt with had absolutely NO PROBLEM that SAME DAY refunding our deposit back to us on our 2nd choice vehicle within an hour!! If Englewood Cliffs Cadillac wants to play games when we were always up front and honest with them, then first BUYERS BEWARE!!! I tried to leave it open if we ever needed to return again but not after this stunt of hanging onto our money an absurd longer amount of time than they should have. They were most definitely not up front and honest with us. Absolutely NO reason for this and we would not return to this dealer ever again! More

The Dealer you go to MAKES A DIFFERENCE ! My wife and I visited a Cadillac dealership in northern NJ on Route 17 and were greatly disappointed in the way we were treated. The receptionist My wife and I visited a Cadillac dealership in northern NJ on Route 17 and were greatly disappointed in the way we were treated. The receptionist was very nice and called over a salesman to assist us. When we asked him for information about the soon to be released XT4, he pointed us to a video playing on a TV in the back of the showroom. We tried to engage him in conversation about pricing and he simply said he didn't know. While in the showroom we also saw a gorgeous XT5 and again asked him about pricing (purchase vs lease). His answer.... as he was walking away..... $3000 down and around $450 a month. Maybe it was the way we were dressed or the fact that we didn't look like the Cadillac type (this would have been our first) but we both looked at each other and walked out. The next day I looked at the Englewood Cliffs Cadillac site and we decided to pay them a visit. We were greeted by the Receptionist, advised that a Salesperson would be with us shortly and offered the use of their lounge while we waited. Jerome Barnes approached us, introduced himself and asked how he could help. After explaining the XT4 and when it would be released, he proceeded to show us a new XT5 that caught our eye. Jerome was awesome. He didn't give us any BS, didn't sugar coat anything and was straight forward. He was very easy to get along with and was able to answer all of our questions. Unfortunately, because we had an time issue, we needed to return the next day to finalize the deal. When we arrived the next day, the closing went smooth and quickly. We met with Jerome and Russ Owren and settled on a price which was much less than what I thought we were going to pay. Ms. Batista was able to provide us with a good understanding of the agreement/documents and had us in and out of her office in 10 minutes. Jerome gave us a thorough review of the vehicle features, connected our phones to the vehicle and assisted us with the OnStar advisor. Before we left, Russ again came out, congratulated us and thanked us for our business. Like I said before, this was our first Cadillac and lucky for us, Jerome, Russ and Evelyn showed us what it means to be a valued customer and Cadillac Owner. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else for my next Caddy! More
