Snake Oil Salesman Visited Tri-County and found the salesmen to be fast talking "snake oil salesmen, sales men uninformed (Kelvin) and the manager to be the absolute wor Visited Tri-County and found the salesmen to be fast talking "snake oil salesmen, sales men uninformed (Kelvin) and the manager to be the absolute worse. These two salesman were in the Pre-Owned section of Lexus. First, I found a vehicle I was interested in and the price was one price then I was quoted another which appeared to be good, but I went on-line and found out the vehicle was $11,000 dollars cheaper, so they are liars looking to get over on the consumer. Then when it was time to test drive they brought another vehicle, ridiculous! who does that? Once I decided I wanted the vehicle, and they realized they had to use the internet fee, they added on almost $9,000 dollars in fees $1500 in mileage adjustment fees $1500 in prep fees and all these other fees I had never heard of, I was expecting the taxes which was a bit over $3000 dollars and title and registration fees, but I was taken a back once the fees kept piling up.The manager Anthony had made all these promises to get me to consider the deal, then just like a "snake oil salesmen" started back pedaling on everyone of them. I found that he talked way too much about what he could do and was very obsequious, everything I asked the answer was "yes" to get the deal, knowing all the while he had intentions to deliver most of what he promised. Terrible manager and dealership, does not stand up to what Lexus is synonymous for, quality, honesty, and a rise above the rest, even the dealerships appearance fell short of what they stand for. Beware! We visited Tri-County Lexus to check out a certified pre-owned car they had advertised on the internet for $28,681. We went for a test drive and liked the car so we sat down to talk about the price. Now, I realize the internet price doesn't include tax, tags, and registration fee, so I'm expecting an out-the-door price about $2500 higher than the “Internet Price”. Needless to say I was a little surprised when the out the door price came to over $34,000. In addition to the tax, tags, and registration fees, there were other fees, which included; window glass etching fee, an added fee because we were going to pay cash instead of financing the car, an added fee because the car was certified, etc. There was also a problem with them showing me the Car Fax for this car, I had to ask 5 times (no exaggeration). Upon examining the Car Fax I found that the car had been in TWO accidents. I promptly brought this to the attention of the salesman in front of me and the manager hovering nearby. The salesman blurts out, “I didn't realize...” and the manager cuts him off and says “Well, they were only small fender benders”...hmmm...I'm thinking, you didn't know or you knew and it was no big deal, maybe you guys want to take a minute and get your stories straight. Needless to say, even after they contacted us the next day and wanted to make a deal, we decided to purchase from a more honest and upfront dealership. More
