Worst experience ever! Tri-County Lexus was one of the worst car buying experiences ever! We first went in January as we toyed with the idea of switching to Lexus. It was al Tri-County Lexus was one of the worst car buying experiences ever! We first went in January as we toyed with the idea of switching to Lexus. It was almost 8pm after we finished test driving the car and going over some stuff with Justin and our 1 year old son had about enough. Of course he brought out his manager to try to seal the deal but we were upfront about not being ready to buy a car, we just wanted to explore and get comfortable with Lexus as we’d never owned one before. Eventually they got the point and we left. I followed up with Justin the next week with some more questions and told him we’d be in touch when we were ready to buy. I finally called him back in March when we made a decision, told him what we wanted and he said he’d get right on it. I called back for at least a week, no answer or follow up, texted him and finally gave up. We walked in on a Saturday morning, bright and early to meet Manny, who looked like he wanted to be in bed and whose energy was lackluster. We test drove the car and didn’t fall in love, it had a few flaws and the salesman wasn’t trying to sell the car. He clearly just wanted us to buy without giving us a proper sales experience. After telling him we needed to go feed our son and talk it over and come back, he offered to “order” us food so we could sit in the crappy sales room, feed our 1 year old and get the sale going. He ended up getting loud and aggressive with my husband and brought over George, the finance manager, to talk to us, who was calm and respectful. George was the best part of the experience. In the end, we left without purchasing a car because we felt pressured and they were extremely unprofessional. Justin was even there and didn’t bother to say hello. Ultimately, we ended up buying a vehicle from Lexus of Queens, where the service was excellent and we will not even take our car to Tri-County Lexus for servicing even though it’s closer to our home. We hope they work on their professionalism and training their staff on how to treat customers. PS - while we were there, a lady that came from far away for a car ALSO walked away and we heard them arguing with her. Just like we did, she respectfully said thank you, shook their hands and left without a car. We will never take our business to Tri-County. More
