Can't speak for other sales people as I know not all of them are the same so I can't generalize. I believe there are good sales people just not the one I dealt with. He's in his 50s, 6ft tall, salt and pepper hair, white guy. I've found the car I was interested in, online. Took a 30 miles long nice trip to their dealership. Asked if I could see and check out the vehicle, was told to wait for he had to find it. I said no problem. He brought out the car and asked if I wanted to take a ride, I said let me take a look at it first and if I like it we'll test drive it, he left me alone and I was perfectly fine with that. Upon quick visual inspection I've noticed that the vehicle was previously repaired, really bad paint job, bondo along with rust, misaligned body panels, just a lot of signs of previous collision repairs all around the car. Once I made up my mind and decided to pass on the vehicle which had clean carfax, go figure.... Anyway, I've told salesman that I'm passing on that vehicle however I offered my name and phone number in case they come across another similar vehicle I'm still interested. Salesman asked me why and I answered that the body work and paint job disqualify this vehicle according to my standards. He said how do I know all that, I said because I do body and paint work. He then admitted that the car was painted in their shop because of scratches. I responded to him that there was a lot more than scratches and so he stood up, rolled his eyes at me and said whatever and began to walk away from me. I asked him what did he mean by saying whatever? He ignored me and walked out and so I left this place thinking what I have done or said to upset him? but I know why, he got pissed because he didn't make the sale. I'll never go back there, poor service not worth of time and aggravation. No dealership is perfect but there are better options out there. I hope this will help you make better decision on your future purchase. Take your money elsewhere. More

To start let me say that as we all know the car buying process can be quite intense for a customer as we are not only looking for the right car for us To start let me say that as we all know the car buying process can be quite intense for a customer as we are not only looking for the right car for us, but also the right price. I think what can add to an already stressful experience is the salesperson because as we all know they want to make a sale, they're only human. Needless to say the intensity that comes with car buying is not something I have ever had to worry about when it comes to Toyota Northbrook. This is the second time that I have purchased my vehicle from them and this is the first time I can honestly say that I was quite impressed with the sales consultant more than the price that I purchased my vehicle at. Scott R. is without a doubt one of the best sales consultants I have run into when it comes to car shopping. While he is young, he is knowledgeable and his personal skills are without a doubt one of his best qualities! He is not just looking to sell you a car for the sake of selling you a car, he's there to sell you the car you are looking for. I knew I was looking for a Toyota but I wasn't sure on if I wanted the Yaris, the Corolla LE, or the Corolla S. We test drove them all and while the S would have made Scott more money, as it was higher in cost, he never once pushed me into it. He identified features in all the cars that were great, but was more interested in understanding what I liked and didn't like and accommodating to those. In the end, my heart went with the LE and I couldn't be more thrilled knowing that not only did I get the car that I wanted, but that I wasn't pushed into the S. I literally got to feel out each car with no one else's opinions and as excited as I was about the LE, Scott was just as excited for me because like he told me at one point, "this is about you and the car you want." How often does one hear that from a consultant?? This being said if ever looking to buy a Toyota, I highly recommend Scott R. at Northbrook Toyota. Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed! We had a really great experience with Brian Ferguson at Northbrook Toyota - such a genuine nice guy. I came in on a Monday with my 11 month old, knowing we were interested in the Highlander. He let me drive it home so my husband could test drive it - which was HUGE and saved us a major inconvenience as we wouldn't have to go back during the busy time on a Saturday. I felt zero pressure to buy on the spot - and we didn't. We waited a day :) I couldn't wait any longer! It's a great car, and Brian was willing to work within our budget parameters to get creative. It was zero hassle, and while I didn't have time to do the official 30 minute 'car feature walk-through', Brian told us to come whenever and he'd make time for us. I'm confident in the car and our experience was positive. If we like the car as much as we do now, we'll continue to go back to Brian for many years. More

I had to come back to get the spoiler to sit correctly. After I got the car back, of course it was clean and waxed so imperfections on the trunk are hard to see. After a few weeks it became clearly visible. The scratches alongside the bottom panel of the spoiler on the trunk lid and inside the trunk under the trunk lining. They tried to cover up with touch up paint and made it looks worse. Based on my other issue with their service that was done at the same time I do not expect resolution of response. I emailed about both and big fat nothing. More

Danilo Chacon was our salesman and he was very attentive and informative. If he didn't have an answer to our question, he would make every effort to get it! This dealership worked with us as far as price and they went the extra mile to fix minor details and issues with the exterior portion of the car. Absolutely amazing experience! Definitely recommend this dealership and of course our salesman, Danilo Chacon. More
