I was signed up for a $400 financing option (makes payments biweekly) after clearly stating I was not interested. They refused to refund the amount despite agreeing that we had not wanted to use thei payments biweekly) after clearly stating I was not interested. They refused to refund the amount despite agreeing that we had not wanted to use their "service". Their trick was saying "do you want to sign up for biweekly payments?" not telling you that "biweekly" is the trademarked name of a 3rd party program to make your payments. So when you respond that you want to make bi-weekly payments, you are inadvertently accepting a 3rd party finance option. There is a $400 sign up fee. The conversation with General Manager Jim Giddings was unprofessional and juvenile. He actually took the opportunity to say he was "scared for our national security if a member of the military (me) would sign up for something he didn't want." He used Negotiation 101 techniques and often turned the conversation into personal insults. How someone of his moral character became General Manager says alot about the dealership. My family nor anyone in my military unit will ever use Lustine again. More
Last year my wife got a '07 Dodge Charger and was happy with it. About 4 moths later I decided to get a '07 Dodge Nitro R/T. Turns out the Nitro was a piece of crap. I had problems with the brakes makin with it. About 4 moths later I decided to get a '07 Dodge Nitro R/T. Turns out the Nitro was a piece of crap. I had problems with the brakes making a moaning noise and had it back to the dealer 5 times and was always given the run around; this is a "normal operating condition of the vehicle" etc... There was clearly a problem. I was told one time by a service rep there was a problem and it would be fixed (I think on the 3rd visit) That service rep then disappeared and was no longer there. Steve Kane, the service manager was the one with the final say and my problem was never fixed. I tried to call the 1-800 customer service number for Dodge, but that turned out to be a even bigger joke! Totally Useless. I was helped by Jessica (no last name, she would not give one). The bottom line of that conversation was; "our service managers are our eyes and ears in the field, we go with what they say." Well what happens if you don't agree with the service managers assessment? Who do I talk to then? A: "There is no one else to talk too." Do you have a supervisor I can talk to? A: He will not take your call and said the service manager is the final say." That is Dodge's "customer service." I took it to another dealer, but the first dealer had "black balled" my file and I was told the same line at dealer #2. With less than 10,000 miles on the car, less than 1 year old, I traded it in (for a loss) and got a new Honda Accord. I was just sick and tired of the run around and the total crap service and having a new car that was always in the shop. I looked on line a week after I got rid of the Nitro and found it for sale "Car fax certified 1 owner, low miles, NEW BRAKES, every option..." So I was not crazy at all, to make the car sellable they had to replace the rear brakes completely, rotors, pads everything! Maybe I could have kept fighting, but I just did not want to own a Dodge after my experience with their idea of "service." Do not do business with Lustine or with Dodge. I am happy with my Honda with no problems and the highest quality rating from consumer reports. More

I went to this dealership to purchase a new Rav 4. Let me start by saying my salesman was great, he was young and new but he did a wonderful job of assisting me. To include going out and finding cars for me start by saying my salesman was great, he was young and new but he did a wonderful job of assisting me. To include going out and finding cars for me to look at and pulling them around since I am unable to walk long distances. Unfortunately, that's where the good part stopped and also unfortunately by the end of the day (8 hours I was there) my brain was not working enough to catch on to what they were doing until the next day when I reviewed my paperwork. First of all, I actually paid more for the car than the sticker said (although the GM's explanation for this is that the sticker did not include the freight charges, which is normal I guess) but even with freight charges I have never paid more than sticker for a car. Second, they told me they would give me $2800 for my trade in and that would leave $1000 to payoff, instead they gave me $1000 for my trade, leaving me with $2800 payoff. Then on top of that I brought in a coupon that stated up to $3000 off, this was shown to the sales manager who said we can do that, but of course they didn't. I am willing to accept partial responsibility for letting myself get so fatigued I wasn't able to wade through all the paperwork (especially after I had already made them reprint it 3 times) but I still expected them to accept some responsiblity for not doing what they said. I went in and spoke with the Customer Relations Manager who referred me to the Sales Manager who then referred me to the General Manager (who of course wasn't there). The following week I went up to speak with the General Manager and knew from the start that the conversation wasn't going to go well. His opening remark was "well you signed the papers and you are an adult who has to take responsibility for her actions." This told me off the bat that he had no interest in resolving the issues or working with me. I have never been so disappointed in a dealership or felt more taken advantage of. As far as I am concerned they drew the deal out (8 hours) and waited until they could tell I was fatigued and then took advantage of the situation. I will never buy a car from them again and would not recommend anyone else do so either. More
Made an appointment the day before to see one car, arrived and was told it had been sold sometime between 5pm and 10pm (could be the truth - who knows?). Spent six hours haggling over another car tha arrived and was told it had been sold sometime between 5pm and 10pm (could be the truth - who knows?). Spent six hours haggling over another car that they were determined to sell me. I wanted to leave and have lunch to clear my head (and then return) and had to be downright rude to get them to give me the keys and let me go. Salespeople are high pressure and underhanded. I love my car but I regret ever dealing with these people. More
I was checking on a blue Toyota Tacoma truck they had on their web site which seemed like a good deal with a low price and mileage, but discovered inadvertently from a Car Fax report that it was sold in lat their web site which seemed like a good deal with a low price and mileage, but discovered inadvertently from a Car Fax report that it was sold in late March. I called them to check whether it was available on their lot, but it was sold and they steered me to another vehicle. If the records from Car Fax are correct then this vehicle should have been removed by now, ie. July from their web site. I was kept on the phone for 10 to 15 minutes for a simple request trying to get information. I would be wary when dealing with them. More
Recently, I decided to purchase a vehicle. After shopping many dealers, I arrived at Lustine Dodge and was greeted by John Davis who helped me find a Charger I liked. When it seemed we would not be able to c many dealers, I arrived at Lustine Dodge and was greeted by John Davis who helped me find a Charger I liked. When it seemed we would not be able to come to terms, I was introduced to Tim Lee the sales manager who quickly showed me some new terms and a financing to make my dream car possible. Also, the dealer gave me for no-charge a lifetime warranty. More

Our truck was taken to service for three resons. 1) engine light on 2) shifting hard 3) rpm hand racing up and down. . Truck placed on machine. Shift solenenoid replaced on 1/09/07. Pick up truck on 1/ engine light on 2) shifting hard 3) rpm hand racing up and down. . Truck placed on machine. Shift solenenoid replaced on 1/09/07. Pick up truck on 1/10/07. Three milees into ride, engine light comes on, gear shifting hard ,rpm hand racing. I pull over check transmission fluid. SURPISE. The fluid is over flowed just as we left it ( purposely). Take back to service, was told on 1/12/07 the margerlin sensor is gone bad. If margerlin is gone bad (brain) inside the trans, How did the brain in the trans tell the machine the solenenoid was bad? How was the trans dropped without draining the fluid? When asked I about the fluid, I was told 10 quotes was put in and it did not over flow. The truck will only take 6/7 quotes. So how could this be done? Now the tech can't get the truck to stay started, but gives it to me anyway. It cuts off twice on the way home (3miles). I call , I'm told " we did'nt break it' Now we have four problems instead of three. For just $712.04. Oh ,$400.00 more and THEY well fix the sensor. More
My experience with these crooks was 10 years ago, but it looks like they're still no good. They wanted full price for their car and to pay below book on my trade-in (Grand Caravan). We were several thous looks like they're still no good. They wanted full price for their car and to pay below book on my trade-in (Grand Caravan). We were several thousand dollars apart... I asked for my keys form the salesman - once, twice... He went to get them and came back with his boss who kept the sales (theft) tactic going. I asked him for my keys...he ignored me and kept talking. Afer a few minutes, I stood up and yelled that I had asked for my keys THREE times...I had better have my keys in the next two minutes or I would leave and call the police...I would press charges for auto theft and kidnapping as they were keeping me there against my will. i then started talked in a very louid voice of how they were trying to rip me off and that every customer (and there were several) better be careful. My keys appeared quickly and I left. The next day, I called the GM to inform hiom and he didn't care. I wrote Chrysler, but it looks like that didn't matter. Don't buy from crooks and they will go out of business. More
