I purchased my car at another dealership but I have been going to Toyota of Watertown for service over the past several years. My last two service appointments were frustrating. I got a bill for over $100 going to Toyota of Watertown for service over the past several years. My last two service appointments were frustrating. I got a bill for over $1000 for maintenance when I brought the car in for what I thought was going to be a free appointment because of a recall notice. I believe the bill was legitimate, however, as the car was five years old and they put in new brakes, new wiper blades (I had noticed that at least one of them was not in great shape), a new hybrid battery, etc. The more recent service appointment was supposed to be an annual inspection and a replacement of remote key batteries. I was frustrated because I called and was informed that the car was ready to be picked up, but when I arrived, I waited for a half hour before the car was brought out. I don't blame Kamel for this; I think it was a mix up, or a few mix ups, at the service desk, and they were unable to reach him to notify him that I was there for the car. Kamel was very apologetic for this and offered to arrange for the remote keys to be picked up from my home or workplace so that the batteries could later be replaced free of charge because he felt so bad about the fact that I was waiting a half hour to pick up the car. In the future I plan to work directly with Kamel to get my service needs addressed and I would recommend him. More
After shopping for 6 months for the right 2007 Toyota Landcruiser, I was fortunate to work with Paul Swerling on making the right purchase. The car had low miles and light wear and tear. The deal was c Landcruiser, I was fortunate to work with Paul Swerling on making the right purchase. The car had low miles and light wear and tear. The deal was completed over the course of a week and picking up the vehicle was quick and painless. This is where the story really begins so keep reading. Each of the following paragraphs is an exemplary lesson in standing behind a vehicle in varying parts of the organization: (i) when I picked up the car within 30 minutes Paul and I did a quick inspection and noted 3 minor items for order with supply, which were quickly noted and shipped asap via fedex all the while Paul and his team making sure they were in my hands as soon as possible. All items were rec'd within (2) weeks (the last of which only as it took a little time for the right part to be ordered); (ii) did I mention I had a loan with my credit union, and when they closed without getting me the check, the folks in the Toyota of Watertown office found out they got me a rate beating the credit union by about .50%! (iii) 3 weeks after purchase a very small leak showed itself in heavy downpour. This should have been taken care of by a local dealership where I'm from, but the "other dealership" gave me a runaround. After I returned from a business trip, I spoke to Paul and they sensed my frustration exacerbated by a redeye flight. Paul got me on the phone with Mike Mason, Watertown Service Manager, who couldn't have taken care of me better or more quickly and with the support of Carlos Girard, Preowned Sales Manager, to fix the hidden issue with the vehicle. They had me drop the car off at my convenience, gave me a complimentary rental, kept me posted on the progress of the fix while accomplishing another minor item as well, then had the car back to me good as news. (iv) THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF THE STORY FOR USED BUYERS OUT THERE SO READ ON-- Paul from the time we first made contact was in contact and always reachable by text, email and phone and always followed up promptly solving issues, problems, etc or putting me in touch with the right person in the organization, always explaining the situation 1st so I didnt have to tell any stories etc, to make my problems into solutions. I wouldn't buy a Landcruiser or any product Watertown Toyota could offer me anywhere else. Anyone can sell a new or used car, but the customer service and committment to product and service Watertown Toyota has really differentiates their performance of a business in the marketplace and makes them head and shoulder above their competition. Thank you to Paul, Mike and Carlos for making me a happy customer. I'll be back. Best Chad More

Paul made this car buying experience extremely easy and pleasant. He gave us all the attention we needed and more, and everything was done professionally and as promised. The car was cleaned and looked goo pleasant. He gave us all the attention we needed and more, and everything was done professionally and as promised. The car was cleaned and looked good on the outside, but there are worn places. The vanity lights still don't work (I pointed this out before) and I will have to take the car in to get that fixed. I'm not accustomed to buying a used car, so it wasn't as exciting as the new car experience, but overall very good. I would definitely recommend my friends to go to Paul at Watertown Toyota to get a car! More

Went to get my Corolla serviced. The estimate came back over $3000. It was an old car not even worth $3K. Of course, the service person tried to convince me to buy a new car from them. I went to anothe over $3000. It was an old car not even worth $3K. Of course, the service person tried to convince me to buy a new car from them. I went to another repair shop. Their estimate was for $400. It turns out that the $3000 estimate was designed to make the Corolla like new -- not to fix the problem that I came in to repair. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and, when it came time for me to buy a new car, I went to Herb Chambers Toyota Boston instead. More
I had a great experience buying a used 2009 Toyota Matrix from Paul Cardozo. He was friendly and helpful and worked with me to find a car within my price range without trying to up-sell. Paul was very patien from Paul Cardozo. He was friendly and helpful and worked with me to find a car within my price range without trying to up-sell. Paul was very patient and responsive and guided me expertly through the used-car buying process. I went to the new car dealership a few times for various reasons and was bowled over by how their service department treated its customers. I've never been in a service department where the rep quietly approaches each individual customer to tell him or her that their car is ready. I recommend Paul and this dealership very highly. More
