Great Experience buying a used Toyota I have purchased many cars in my lifetime and have had different experiences with all of them. My most recent purchase was for a 2012 Toyota Highlande I have purchased many cars in my lifetime and have had different experiences with all of them. My most recent purchase was for a 2012 Toyota Highlander from Toyota of Watertown. I have to say my whole experience from start to finish was extremely pleasant, honest and fair. A big thanks to Raheem Obyat who clearly understood the "art" of the deal and I truly believe if it weren't for his efforts the deal may not have come together! I am now the proud owner of a Highlander and I could not be happier. Thanks to the whole team at Toyota! I will be back for my next purchase down the road. More

Instead of Edwin trying to talk me into something more expensive, he actually did his best to get me the best deal possible and with the help of the finance staff tried several options that he presented to me. At no point did I feel pressured to buy anything! It was an excellent experience and I would definitely do business with them again. More

An Untypically Honest Experience I don't normally write reviews for this type of thing, but I was struck by the honesty with which I was dealt. While this dealership still holds on to I don't normally write reviews for this type of thing, but I was struck by the honesty with which I was dealt. While this dealership still holds on to many antiquated sales techniques, overall, I felt that the people I spoke to, my salesperson especially, were very honest and up front with me. I don't consider myself a dumb person, although I am admittedly inexperienced when it comes to car buying. That being said, when I figured out how to be up front about what I was looking for, the salespeople at Toyota of Watertown acted in kind. What I said was, "I would like a car with a sticker-price of $X" and although there were murmurs initially about "monthly payments" and "interest rates" and "have you considered leasing the car" my salesperson was quick to acknowledge that asking the same hypothetical questions without the proper information in front of me was not a very helpful way of getting me the best deal. While i recognize that this is a business and the dealer needs to worry about their bottom line, I appreciated that I didn't feel as manipulated (for lack of a better word) as I have at other dealerships in the area. For instance, instead of showing me random cars in the lot and expecting me to remember all of the details of the cars and then picking a handful arbitrarily to consider (as I have come to consider a common tactic among many car dealers), my salesperson sat me down at his desk, showed me the online inventory, and we were very easily and clearly able to choose a few that were 1) from the year 2) with the miles 3) with the carfax and 4) in the price range I was looking for. While this may not seem like much, I appreciated the honest and humble attitude of my salesperson. Furthermore, when we came upon the car that I eventually purchased, there were some bumps, dings, scratches, and dents that were quickly and easily taken care of. On the day of pick up, however, another issue arose involving the key-fob and locking mechanism of one of the doors. My salesperson called me up quickly and again was very honest and direct about what was going on, what he was going to do to fix it, and how long that process would take. All was dealt with quickly and professionally and I was still able to drive away with my new-to-me car as expected. Overall, buying a car just isn't a very nice experience. It's a big investment and we are expected to make big decisions in real-time and on the spot. While my experience had many of these trappings, in general, I did not feel as if I was being pressured to make these larger decisions. Of course, my trepidation might be a self-fulfilling prophecy, so maybe a more confident person would have no trouble buying a car at all. But I would say that I found in Toyota of Watertown what I think we all hope to find in these sorts of situations nowadays: people who are professional, honest, and accountable. Hopefully some of the more classic-thinking salespeople will take notice. More

My lease wasn't up yet, so I was very clear that there were only certain circumstances under which I would even consider getting into a new lease. Elkin listened to my specific goals and priorities and, together with the manager Dan, gave me a few options that would work for me, both car-wise and budget wise. Elkin was friendly and positive, and perhaps most importantly, I didn't feel pressured which is HUGE. While he was helping me, I also got the chance to see Elkin interact on the phone with one of his long-time customers, and it was clear to me that he takes the time to get to know his customers over time (if that is what you want/need - I was perfectly comfortable leasing a new car with him in one visit, but some people need multiple visits in order to figure out what car is right for them, and if that is you, Elkin is your guy... or just buy on the first go-round if you know what you want - he was great at that scenario in my case as well). Bottom line - I LOVE my new Prius C and thank you to Elkin for making it such a positive experience - I would recommend him and this dealership to anyone! Incidentally the service department is great too - super flexible, friendly, free shuttle, and great waiting area. More

My consultant, Elkin Pereanez, was just an absolute dynamo. During my research process, he was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. The dealership gave me a very fair price for my trade-in. When I came to pick up the car after I officially purchased it, Elkin made sure I was in and out in no time with everything I needed (inspection sticker, registration, new plates - he even remembered to grab my E-Z Pass that I forgot!) I also want to give John in finance a shout out for making the loan process so easy! I've already recommended Toyota of Watertown to friends and will definitely return when looking to purchase another vehicle. More
