I've recently went in for my 25k mile service on my 2009 Rav4. In the past I've never had a problem with their service dept but on this visit I have to say I am disappointed in their quality control. An oil change was performed but someone left the old oil change tag on the windshield, I had to check the invoice to make sure they did the oil change. There is no excuse for the tag not to be changed. Then 2-3 weeks later my low tire pressure warning light comes on. It was a simple fix of putting air in my tires and I did keep a close eye on the pressure for the next few days in case I did have a slow leak. I did discovered my spare (also in the loop for checking pressure which is a great feature to have)was at 20 lbs and also my 2 rear tires were slightly above 22-23lbs, and a front was at 29lbs. Are they not checking tire pressure anymore during a service? I understand that with a change in temperature that tire pressures can change slightly, but I find it hard to believe my light warning light will turn on just 3 weeks after a major service unless they did not check the tires. I usually request a tire rotation but I think I'll start marking my tires with chalk from now on to see if they are really doing it. I originally chose Wallingford Toyota based on quality and reputation, but I'm concerned that they are slipping in the quality dept. On a minor note, I make my appointments for Saturday morning and prefer to drop my car off the night before, but this time it wasn't ready until after 3:30pm that day! Come on guys, considering the shortcuts you've taken I would expect my car to be finished by lunch. More
This guy had a very cocky attitude, rude and talked down to me. Made me feel like I was a idiot about my car. Your dealership does not need people working that cannot treat your customers this way. Took in my 08 4runner for service and had an issue but after talking to Val Santos, D. Roberts, K. Carofano the issue was resolved. Wallingford Toyota DID finally fix the problem. I feel they charged me for work that they never performed. The tires were not properly inlfated before balancing, that's if they ever where balanced or rot they charged me for work that they never performed. They needed to be replaced but the service department kept saying "they are fine" hard to believe a tire is fine when the inside tread is gone. If it wasn't for Ron Jackson fixing the situation I would never return. Still we had to waste more time in the waiting room when it should have been fixed right the first time. I am giving this dealership one more chance, but I am going to keep a closer eye on their work. Like I said before, my hat is off to Ron Jackson, he is a man that stands by his word. More
Sales department was awesome, 5+. Service is terrible. They always provide a half of service ordered by me, justifying it with a lack of time. When I came on the weekend, they said to come in on a weekday - no appointment necessary. When I showed up on the weekday afternoon next time, they changed my oil by failed to rotate wheels, saying I need an appointment. Last time I went they put a hefty scratch on my passenger door. Nice work fellows! Service manager seems to be the only reasonable person in this department. I would never send a friend for service over there. More
