I recently brought my SUV in for service and incountered a small issue..this was compounded by a miscommunication.....I became very angry at first and wrote on line how upset i was....I was really expecting a small issue..this was compounded by a miscommunication.....I became very angry at first and wrote on line how upset i was....I was really expecting not to get the unbelievable caring response that I did get. My experience working with other car dealerships and service companies in the past was always so stressful, dreadful and was always left unsatisfied. My experience with Wallingford Toyota has been one of a kind. Every detail of my issue was dealt with and corrected quickly and with great kindness. Karen the Service Manager could not have been more kind and professional and apologetic. This is a dealership where the customer satisfaction is important to them. You very rarely come across this kind of service and i highly recommend Wallingford Toyota. More
Stay away from this dealership as far as service is concerned (Toyota of Wallingford). I recently bought a certified Camry from this dealership. The sales team were great. Gloria Fernandez, who is incharge for finance is polite but will gloss over extremely important extended warranty detail as if you were buying a snickers and it is not relevant. She does a great job of doing it. My initial review here was not positive but I received a barrage of phone calls and e-mails until I finally changed it. There is a sound from the odometer that starts as the car starts moving and it is not consistent. It is usually the case when it is cold. Since the weather is warmed up it is unpredictable when it will start making sound. I took it to service department and the second sentence out of Casey Munroe's mouth was " I can't throw parts at the car". It was his smugness that was utterly disturbing. This person should not be dealing with customers. Well, I guess it was fine for me to throw 23k at the dealership but they can't throw a part worth 200 to fix a problem. We just purchased a renewal on our extended warranty on our car which now gives up peace of mind. I purchased my 2009 Scion XD from Toyota of Wallingford back in 2008 and since then have always had them for all service/check ups. I have to drive up there from Stamford every time but am willingly doing back in 2008 and since then have always had them for all service/check ups. I have to drive up there from Stamford every time but am willingly doing so instead of taking any risk trying unknown others. They are extremely friendly as well as professional and absolutely worth spending my 2 hours for a round trip. For example, in my most recent experience with them, there was an accident on the way and I had to miss my original appointment and called them to reschedule, but Karen squeezed me in the afternoon on same day. I was lucky there was a room for the day but it was impossible if Karen had not actively helped me. After service was done, Jon explained very nicely and kindly what was done and what else needed for next steps. This is just one example - I have always had a great experience with them and trust whatever they do. Every single person in the service center truly is the best in class. Last but not least, this is my first review on any dealers and I even registered for this site only to upload my review for Toyota of Wallingford. More
I have purchased two cars from Toyota of Wallingford, and have had them serviced there since first dealing with them six years. The staff has always been courteous and cooperative, and I have never had any have had them serviced there since first dealing with them six years. I can even get my daughter to willingly take the car(s) in for their maintenance appointments, as long as they're on "manicure Monday mornings" -- yep, free manicures while you wait! I had some type of black holes hanging from my car on the right hand side under th tire. I was driving down Colony Rd in Wallingford, CT when I seen a toyota dealer ship and said to myself,let me see if the right hand side under th tire. Bob and Irvin was GREAT,I could not tell them what was hanging nor could I tell them what I hit, I don't remember hitting anything, well Bob being the GREAT (funny) guy that he is , say to make me feel better that's what happend here at toyota parts just fall down on your car (I LOVE HIM) he also said if my husband come by , he would not tell my husband he seen me (SMILE).Anyway to make a long story short, Bob and Irvin are GREAT and as long as you have the two of them working for you , you will always have WONDERFULL RATERING . I go to the dealership in New Haven/Woodbridgewhich which they are wonderful too, but it good to know I can get the same services right here by my job in Wallingford. Jon was extremely friendly and nice and explained what repairs/services were done. I had gone to the Dr for a fasting blood test before arriving and was thrilled to see a box of donuts and coffee in the w repairs/services were done. I had gone to the Dr for a fasting blood test before arriving and was thrilled to see a box of donuts and coffee in the waiting area. I did not have to wait unusually long for the work I had done- 40,000 mile checkup and new brakes. My overall experience with purchasing and servicing my Toyota here has been so positive that it has made me a dedicated Toyota owner. More
