Bought an '01 Camry from one with lots of pressure & getting the run-around with financing prices. The other, traded in the Camry for an '02 RAV-4. Not a bad experience, but when it came to service, was NEVER on time, even with an appointment. When my wife & I walked into Toyota of Wallingford, it just had a different feel to it. Not pressured, but more attentive to our needs. Funny thing, the salesman we bought our Camry from @ the first dealer & our RAV-4 from the second. Guess he found a good home here! Fit right in, but saw him after meeting our salesman, who was great also. After deciding on our vehicle ('09 RAV-4 Sport with leather seats:NICE!), we were told that the RAV's had to be ordered & built. Knowing how time deadlines work, we didn't expect the car to arrive exactly when quoted. Me, being patient, my wife, wanting it yesterday! Once it came in, it was sent out for the leather seats, coming back the next day. Great job on those & am glad we went with that option. Our RAV-4 Sport is Super White with black leather, adding a Bug Guard & chrome exhaust tip to match the chrome trim. One beautiful looking RAV! Something about ours makes it look like a customized one. Sharp! All was dealt with professionalism, Todd being a very personable & knowledgable salesman. My only gripe is the amount of time spent @ the dealer every visit. Was almost 2 hours every time. Don't know how that one person did his paperwork in one hour, as we were told to expect to spend two hours for the purchase. The only "bad" thing I can say about our buying experience, & might partially be both @ fault. Hard to juggle multiple things @ once, so maybe treat buyers checking on their ordered car status the same as the ones that are @ the dealer? Otherwise, our overall experience was a great one. Would definitly recommend this dealer to all. Everything was as stated, all courteous & respectful, & just a place we will definitly return to for our next purchase! Extremely satisfied! More
This is, by far,the most professional and attentive auto dealership that we have ever dealt with. We identified a 2006 Hybrid Highlander (black or green only, less than 50K miles) as the vehicle of interest dealership that we have ever dealt with. We identified a 2006 Hybrid Highlander (black or green only, less than 50K miles) as the vehicle of interest in Aug 2009. Steve promised that he would search his contacts as he did not have this vehicle on his lot. The search took some time and Steve kept us fully informed thruout the process. Meanwhile, Naeem regularly called us to update as well. After 3 weeks of searching for the vehicle that met our needs, Steve located it in NY;a near mint condition model. He upgraded all areas needing attention and fully explained the vehicle's history via CarFax and AutoCheck reports. Took delivery yesterday. We are fully confident that we know the history of the vehicle and have the utmost confidence in Toyota of Wallingford. This was truly a positive buying experience; and so much different from our past interactions with other dealers. Thanks Naeem and Steve, great work! More
I was told it would be 7-10 days until the car I put money down came in, and had to call myself to get an update on the status. I was told hopefully Friday (which was the 10th day), then hopefully Mond money down came in, and had to call myself to get an update on the status. I was told hopefully Friday (which was the 10th day), then hopefully Monday, then hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday. It came 9pm Tuesday so I was able to pick it up on Wednesday. However, I was prepared to wait, so this wasn't a big deal. Overall, the service and speed of getting the car once it came in was exceptional. I was in and out the door in about an hour. I would have liked to have know a more solid answer of when the car would arrive, but once it did, I was very satisfied. Would definitely recommend. Also, you get free oil changes, tire changes, and battery replacements for life with some new cars (as long as you get your maintenance done there), which is a great deal. More

This was the best experience my husband and I have had buying a car. We have three children 5 and under and both work so time is limited. My questions were answered quickly regarding the specifications of the car via email and time was not wasted. I have had bad experiences where I have asked dealers in the past for their best price I have either not received the best price or it was a bait and switch tactic to get us in the door. Since much information is available online it is easy to determine a fair price. When other dealers wasted my time I walked out the door feeling frustrated along with not trusting that sales person and/ or manager. This was not the case at Wallingford. The Customer Service and Sales teams were fair, honest and efficient. I appreciate that they show respect towards their customers and in turn respect is given back and a sale too. I also appreciated that we were able to get the car in one of our top two choices of exterior paint color. Options were what we wanted as well. We appreciate it that Toyota of Wallingford participated in the Cash for Clunkers program too. I am sure it was extra work on their side, but made the experience even better for us. We are very happy with the entire experience and have all ready recommended that our friends try Toyota of Wallingford. We loved working with Mike and appreciate his honesty and advice. He also recommended the all weather mats. The mats by the way are all ready worth it after only two weeks. Honestly, I everyone that helped us at the dealership was professional and friendly from the person who assistants, salesman, sales manager and finance person. Thank you for the first positive car buying experience in my life. We will be buying our future cars at Toyota of Wallingford!!! More
It was a experience of a life time "Cash for Clunkers" people were lining up and Toyota Sales staff were doing all they could to keep new and old customers happy and patient during their custumers long wa people were lining up and Toyota Sales staff were doing all they could to keep new and old customers happy and patient during their custumers long wait your turn time. My wait was well worth my beautiful new 2009 Rav4.I'm now presently looking forward to buying another Toyota, this one for my son who is doing his college internship towards his masters degree.I only hope and pray this new Rav4 becomes a part of my family for years to come and my allegiance to Toyota Corp. will become represented by the vehicles sitting in my driveway all with the Toyota label. I had a 97 Toyota Camry with 180,000 still running well and wanted to replace it with a newer version. I called to all the dealers in Connecticut and Mike responded, called me with just what I wanted, got and wanted to replace it with a newer version.
