I am searching for a used vehicle and have been to many Toyota dealers in the state and this dealership was by far the best. Although, ultimately, I did not choose to purchase there, I was disappointed no Toyota dealers in the state and this dealership was by far the best. Although, ultimately, I did not choose to purchase there, I was disappointed not to have done so because the staff was so outstanding, from the front desk individuals and all those that answered the phone to my salesperson, Jeff Benham. I would highly recommend Wallingford Toyota!!!! Kudos to everyone there!!! More
High mark-up on Priuses, misleadingly made. I found the dealership on cars.com listing Priuses at the MSRP. When I got there, I was told that they were in fact charging 2600 over the MSRP because of the ef dealership on cars.com listing Priuses at the MSRP. When I got there, I was told that they were in fact charging 2600 over the MSRP because of the effects of the tsunami, and that no one else had Priuses. When I said I'd found multiple Priuses listed on cars.com, they said that the websites must be out of date. They told me that the tsunami had wiped out all Prius factories, and after they received two Priuses already in shipment next month, no more Priuses would be made for months, and if I wanted a Prius this summer, I should buy it now. I left, went to one of the many other dealerships selling new Priuses, and didn't pay a markup. News reports say that the tsunami has caused some delays in production, but production is 70% of normal, not 0%. If you want to charge a markup because of shortages, at least be honest about it. I also think it's tacky to exaggerate a tragedy for personal gain. More

Beginning with Ron in the internet department before I even got there, it was a very easy and pleasant process. The minute you walk in, the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable, from the smiling receptionist who greeted us to the sales manager to the customer relations manager. Dan Roberts, the salesman, was very attentive and enthusiastic, from the test drives to the delivery of my new car. I came back to the service department a week later, and everyone in that department was just as helpful and friendly. Great dealership, I would highly recommend them... More

I bought a Prius from this dealer in 2006, with an extended warranty. Part of the warranty required that I get service at this dealer and this dealer only. I complied with that. About 5000 miles after the warranty ended, my car broke down, with a dead battery. The Toyota dealer that I took it to (not Toyota of Wallingford) explained that the Prius is sensitive, and the oil had been over-filled, going into the intake. Over time, that caused the battery to work too hard and killed it. I called Toyota of Wallingford, the only people to ever work on my car until the breakdown, and explained the situation. Here is the timeline of what happened: 3/18 - car broke down. 3/19 - fixed. 3/21 - called and spoke with Diane, explaining the situation. I asked to be re-imbursed for the cost of repair, as it had been explained to me that the damage was caused by overfill of oil, and that had to be done at Toyota of Wallingford. 3/25 - called to follow-up since I hadn't heard back, spoke with Karen. 3/30 - called and was told by receptionist that I was on Diane's to-do list and she would call me that day. I did not hear from her. 4/4 - called and was told by receptionist Diane would call back that day. I said that I had been told that before and I would call her supervisor if I didn't hear back. Diane called that day to tell me that although they had done all the service on my car, they would not re-imburse me. I expressed my displeasure. Diane told me that she would let Karen know I was not happy and Karen would call me. 4/11 - I still had not heard from Karen, so I called and asked for Steve, Sr. I left a message explaing that my complaint was that I had to hound customer service, that they would not call me back. 4/19 - never heard back from Steve. Called and asked to speak with him again, but he is now on vacation. Asked for Karen and was told she was unavailable. The customer service is atrocious. The least they can do is respond to my calls and actually call back when they say they will. More

Steve Zion Sr. and his staff are truly wonderful people. They are always friendly, dependable, accomodating and really put the customer first in every situation. Although I live in Trumbull and there are other Toyota dealerships that are closer, I always go to Toyota of Wallingford, whether it be to purchase a new car or for service or parts. Now you may be thinking that it is somewhat of a distance to go there from where I am but I guarantee that you won't find a more pleasant experience anywhere! I am the type of person that needs to have total confidence in where I purchase or take my car for service so going the distance is more than worth it for me and I have and would always recommend this dealership to anyone. In fact, many of my friends and the people I work with are now going to Wallingford to purchase a car or take their car in for service. I guarantee that after your first visit, you won't care to go anywhere else! Yes I am a loyal customer, but the reason I am is because of THEIR loyalty to THEIR customers. In my opinion,(and I am certainly not alone) Toyota of Wallingford is the best dealership anywhere! More

I sometimes get befuddled with all the information coming at me at once, but Jon sat in the car with me and explained every detail in a relaxed manner, he wasn't rushing me, or annoyed if I didn't understand something. He said to call anytime with any thoughts or concerns. Thank you Jon for making buying a car so pleasant. I'd like to thank Sohail Butt for wrapping up the process of doing all the paperwork efficiently, and carefully.
