My Toyota Drive Safe application recorded numerous hazardous driving events while my vehicle was in the care of Toyota of Tampa Bay. 45 total incidents during a 66min test drive. Completely garbage dealer that charges way over MSRP on even economy cars like a Camry or Corolla with their overpriced junk packages and high dealership fees. I bought a ‘23 Camry XLE from them about a ye even economy cars like a Camry or Corolla with their overpriced junk packages and high dealership fees. I bought a ‘23 Camry XLE from them about a year ago when I didn’t realize how xxxx of a deal I was getting. The MSRP of the car was about 37k, already a lot for a Camry. They up charged an extra 3k for their useless advantage package to bring the cost of the car up to 40k, before taxes and other fees. After adding in their dealer fee of $1199, electronic filing fee of 500 and some changes, along with taxes, tag, etc. I was looking at around 45k for a Camry that MSRP’s for around 37k. On top of that, when I got to finance they wanted to sell me these extra over warranties that brought my out the door price closer to 52k. Me being an young, minority, inexperienced, first time car buyer didn’t realize how bad of a deal I was getting and along with their pressure tactics of always trying to get you to just sign the paper, saying whatever they can as long as they get your signature. After I had realized how bad of a deal I had gotten, especially considering I had put quite a bit down (over 30%), I had come back the next day or so after signing the papers to see what I could do to get them to remove their junk packages. I had come to find out that once you sign the papers, there is no re-course for scummy dealer tactics. I was pissed at myself and at the dealer for taking advantage of me so much. I had to fight tooth and nail to get them to take off the extended warranties they offered in finance even though it had only been a couple of days since signing the deals. The finance manager I worked with told me that all of the extended warranties could be taken off after the fact, which was part of the reason I got the warranties in the first place. When I come to get them to take it off, they told me only two of the four could be taken off, and the exact finance manager that I had worked with came in telling me he never said that they could be taken off. I had to work with their GM to get them to take off the rest. I was still at 45k out the door due to their junk advantage package and high dealership fees. I was only 20 at the time. Even though it’s only been a year, I know a lot more now than I did back then, but this was still a hit to my finances that I’m still recovering from. This isn’t even to mention all the time I had to spend in the dealership fixing all the creaks and rattles that came with this car. Not only did the dealership take advantage of me, Toyota’s legendary reliability failed me. At one point, I almost thought I had gotten a lemon with how long the car had been in the shop so soon after purchasing. Honestly, the whole process of disheartening and maddening at the same time. I’m only sharing now so at least more people are aware of how shady this dealership is. These people are a bunch of greedy sharks that have been in the business for a while, so I should’ve guessed they’d take me a for ride. They would do anything to squeeze a customer for just a little bit more profit. I’d like to especially call out my sales person Tom Bush (and his manager) and my finance manager Dino Birjas and his assistant Austin whatever-his-last-name-was for being so willing to take advantage of someone to maximize as much profit as they could. I’d actually like to extend a slight thank you to GM Chris Bice that helped me take off the extended warranty packages. Only slight because the scummy tactics have to come from upper management. Safe to say, I’ll never shop at Toyota of Tampa Bay again nor would I recommend anyone else shop there. I also would avoid other Morgan Auto Dealerships like the plague until they get their act together with these junk packages, high dealership fees, and scummy tactics. More

I feel overwhelmed by the costs of maintaining the vehicle. Warranties don't seem to apply due to exemptions. It's just alot of money. vehicle. Warranties don't seem to apply due to exemptions. It's just alot of money. More

In fact they were checked off as working when in deed they were not. This give me less confidence that the reason I brought my vehicle to get serviced is to avoid and fix potential issues.
