I had body work done on my new car and they never covered I had body work done on my new car and they never covered the windows or the black trim around my windows when they painted and over spray got all ov I had body work done on my new car and they never covered the windows or the black trim around my windows when they painted and over spray got all over the windows so I went back and they removed the overspray. Now I notice that they used steel wool and got the black trim around my doors and windows all scratched. I'm never going to buy a new car from them or recommend them to others so if anyone needs body work done stay away . They need to improve their quality of work or hire the right people for the job. After a test drive, I asked the salesperson to work up a monthly lease payment with all charges rolled into the payment. He gave me an offer in writing, which included a $1200 discount. When I reviewed monthly lease payment with all charges rolled into the payment. He gave me an offer in writing, which included a $1200 discount. When I reviewed the information, I discovered that sales tax had been added in to the capitalized cost of the car. I called them on this (on a lease, tax is based on the monthly payment). They admitted they had made a 'mistake', but then out of nowhere, they added in a bank fee which compensated for taking out the tax. In short--the $1200 discount was not real--it was added back with the tax. When I caught them on this, they still tried to take it away with the 'bank fee.' I went to Motorworld, where they gave me straight, honest numbers. Interestingly, they charged no bank fee. I've been advising people to avoid Toyota of Scranton. They can't be trusted. More
They are a slipperly bunch - from the salesmen to the finance handlers to the service dept. For instance, their extended service aggreement is a cheapo, in-house type with NO UNDERWRITER. What happens if finance handlers to the service dept. For instance, their extended service aggreement is a cheapo, in-house type with NO UNDERWRITER. What happens if the dealership closes down? What if I breakdown in Binghamton? I hear that they regularly screw other Toyota/Scion dealer-service depts. by not honoring trough reimbursed money transfer like a Toyota backed plan does. You're SCREWED. They are totally about making a buck; customer comes LAST! The only bright spot is a comfortable waiting area. More
