Car not starting intermittently I took my Camry in to have it checked because it is having an issue starting up intermittently. I explained the issue to the service advisor and she immediately stated it was the battery. I was notified the car would not start due to "corroded power cable" and the spark plugs needed replacing. The service technician also stated the power steering fluid was sludgy, and the transmission fluid needed exchanging. After spending 950.00 the car still has an issue with not wanting to start up when ignition is cranked. I asked for parts that were replaced and was given the cable clamp and spark plugs. I was told the power cable was corroded and needing replacement, but in fact the post simply had build up which could have been removed with a wire brush. I took the car back and after waiting for 20 minutes for a service advisor, I explained to them in detail of the ongoing issue. After and hour or so, I received a call stating the technician cannot find any problems. I asked for them to check the starter, but they stated they have no way of checking the starter. On a separate note, I have always taken my car in for oil changes and tire rotations. I questioned whether the tires get rotated so I took a paint pen and marked the front tires to verify if they would be changed to the back. After paying 20.00 for a tire rotation, I noticed only one side of the car was rotated! After explaining to the service advisor I was told the one side didn't get rotated because the lug nuts were stripped. So instead of correcting the issue, it was easier for the technician just to not mess with it. But I was charged full price of a tire rotation. More

After all the unusual rain we have had for the month of August 2016, my low tire light came on at a later date. It was then that I remembered to have one of the service advisers update my email because I truly enjoy the all the personnel that Toyota of Rockwall has in the service department. The showroom floor is always interesting to browse and the fresh complementary fruit snacks are a welcome way to invite folks waiting to get minor adjustments done. I thank Leroy Alvarez for helping me in the service drive when my car needed to have the the regular service done earlier this month. More
Disappointed I went in three days after my first 5000 mile check up. A sound like dragging metal had happened twice. The last time it happened right before I brought my car back to the dealer. It stopped when I drove the car in reverse. So - the problem was a metal dragging sound of something that had shifted - but after driving in reverse the sound stopped. I was told that what I had was a damaged right rear tire and I needed a new one. It could be ordered for the next day. Since I was on my way out of town I took the car instead to Discount Tire to buy the tire then instead of waiting a day. At Discount Tire they looked at the tire and told me there was a surface scrape - but it would fix itself as a drive and I absolutely do not need a new tire. My tire is fine. This is a disappointment to me. The car has not made the metal dragging sound again and I drove to New Mexico and back - so maybe they adjusted whatever it was while they were checking the car. I just paid $31,000 for a new car and also bought the extended warranty. This was in hopes that your dealership would have my back, fix things that break and help me since I am not a mechanic. I want to trust my dealership. This trying to sell me a replacement for a perfectly good tire after only 5000 miles to fix a metal dragging sound was wrong to do. It shows a lack of integrity. Selling people parts that they don't need is wrong. Replacing a tire also does not fix a metal dragging sound. Leroy was nice. he just told me I needed a new tire which I did not need. More
brake service - had to take car back I have always given very positive reviews. I took my Rav 4 in due to noise/squeeling brakes. I was told I need front and rear brakes. When I picked up the car after brake service, I noticed a thumping noise each time I applied the brakes to stop. I took it back in the next day and was told that the rotars had to be resurfaced some more to stop this noise. The car should have been given a test run before completing the original service so that I did not have to take the car in a second time which was inconvenient. They did make it noise free now and I am happy about that. I will continue to use this service dept. More
New tire purchase I was on my way out of town for business. Discovered that I had a screw in my tire and it was unrepairable!!! Went to the nearest tire store and they did not have a replacement in stock and would not have one until the next morning. I called Eric at Toyota of Rockwall. He checked, confirmed you had a replacement tire in stock, set up an appointment, told me to come on over and was ready and waiting for me when I arrived! Thanks for taking care of it for me.....
