Toyota of Richardson was awesome! I don't know where some Toyota of Richardson was awesome! I don't know where some of these reviews are coming from. I dreaded looking for a used car last month, and dealer Toyota of Richardson was awesome! I don't know where some of these reviews are coming from. I dreaded looking for a used car last month, and dealership after dealership in the DFW area confirmed my fears about the buying process. Most dealerships didn't have the cars they listed online, their sales people were pushy and dishonest, and their selection was weak - all of the stereotypical stuff. When my wife and I walked in to Toyota of Richardson it was like a breath of fresh air. After two weeks of brutality we met Debi, our saleswoman, who was super sweet and very helpful. Cesar, her manager, was genuinely friendly and honest. Out of all the managers my wife and I spoke with during our 2 week search, Cesar was the only one that actually respectful, and didn't treat us like we were complete idiots. We ended up getting a great deal on the exact car that we had been looking for, with no crappy haggling or stressful negotiations. In short - my experience at Toyota of Richardson was great - pretty much the opposite of every other dealership I visited. More

I recently visited Toyota of Richardson with my 67 year old Mother in search for a SUV for her to cruise around town in. Tom was our salesman and he was super friendly in helping with our search! We went i old Mother in search for a SUV for her to cruise around town in. Tom was our salesman and he was super friendly in helping with our search! We went into the dealership with a set budget and we left with a wonderful Toyota 4Runner. Brian was the gentlemen that worked the numbers for her 4 Runner and he did a wonderful job! This is the second vehicle that my Mother has purchased from Toyota of Richardson and she continues to be amazed with the wonderful customer service she receives each times she goes. The overall experience was wonderful! More
I have bought several cars over my life and never look forward to the process. I have to say that I finally found a dealership that I enjoy doing business with. Abid and the entire toyota of Richardson st forward to the process. I have to say that I finally found a dealership that I enjoy doing business with. Abid and the entire toyota of Richardson staff made the purchase of my camry an enjoyable and hassle free experience. My salesman was David White, who was extremely courteous, even though I was uncertain as to what type of car I wanted. I chose the Prius, but the monthly payment was a bit more than I had expected. I then talked to his sales manager (don't know his name), who said he could run numbers for me. I made SURE that he knew I was NOT purchasing this expensive of car at this time, but would look at the numbers anyway. So I get the numbers, and he asks me which set looks the best. I said the first one looks the best ($400/month for a Prius). He asks me to initial this number. Not seeing the risk, I initial it. He then proceeds to congratulate me on buying my first car. At this point I am taken aback, as I was not aware that initialing a number put me in a binding contract. I asked for my keys back (from them appraising my car), to which he will not. He asks me repeatedly if he has offended me, and I continue to say no, again and again. At this point I am feeling threatened. I realize they are trying to trick me into buying a car, and will not let me leave, and I cannot leave since they have my keys. Several minutes later, the salesman leaves, and another salesman comes back with my keys. So this other salesman starts asking me about the price. I said it's a bit higher than I expected, and I needed to review my budget before buying it. He then asks me, if he were to add some money onto the trade-in value on my current car, if that would be better. OBVIOUSLY. Why would I want to pay more if you are offering a deal for me paying less. I told him I didn't care whether they offered me more for my trade, less for the Prius, or a lower interest rate, a lower price is a lower price. So at this point, I am absolutely not buying a car today, and probably not ever from this dealership. He then asks me, if he could get the monthly payment down to $300 a month, would I buy it today. Honestly, if it were another situation where I wasn't being disrespected, xxxx yeah, sign me up. Instead, I tell him I have to think about it, to which he replies "then I guess we have nothing more to talk about." So I respond, "okay then" and proceed to walk out of the dealership. So this guy begins to follow me, which normally I wouldn't mind, but I was with my girlfriend, who was also getting a little upset. I stop him at the door, and told him to just leave me alone. I thank the original, courteous salesman David White for his time, and apologize that we couldn't do business. But at this point, I see the other salesman following me. I start walking to my car, and he is right there with me. I stop, turn to him, and tell him to leave me alone. He says "leave you alone?" as if he didn't know the meaning of the words (and I'm not so sure he did). At this point, everyone outside is staring at the situation, the salesman is raising his voice trying to get me to stay, and I'm furious. David White was staring at us, thinking "how the xxxx did my manager screw up such a sure-fire sale?" David, honestly, if I were you, I would find somewhere else to work. This dealership is poorly rated, and it is so obvious why. I finally drove away, wondering how such a business is allowed to operate. By the way, they tried to book my deal at 16%. Yeah, too bad I have a degree in actuarial science and know how interest works. Oh what's that, suddenly you can find it in the numbers to book it at 5% now? WOW, my credit score jumped 200 points in just 3 minutes. This place is a scam, their courtesy is synthetic, and their management is disgusting. More

My wife took her FJ Cruiser in for it's 30,000 mile service. They charged, after taxes, $719.05 for this work, $540.48 of which was labor. I was stunned. I asked the service tech how many hours of l service. They charged, after taxes, $719.05 for this work, $540.48 of which was labor. I was stunned. I asked the service tech how many hours of labor this work involved and he looked it up and said 6+ hours. I told him these charges were way out of line and they have lost a customer. They did the "max" service: oil change, air filters (inside and out), oil conditioner, fuel injection flush, z-tech fuel additive, wiperblades, power steering fluid flush, spark plugs & battery terminal protectors (LOL). He said brake fluid flush too, but it wasn't listed on the bill. They didn't explain to my wife that they have two service levels: Toyota's recommended service and their own Dealer-recommended (i.e. max) service. What they saw was a typical suburban mom bringing in her FJ for service and not knowing much about cars. So they blew sunshine up her skirt and booked a max service at top dollar. Oh, she did tell them I would be upset at the cost, so they gave us a 15% discount. Well, that's what was listed on the bill, although I don't know what was actually discounted. So that price I paid included that discount. I ended up sending an email to the Sales Manager at the dealership complaining about our experience. I said they had lost a customer unless something could be done to remedy the situation and asked for a $250 refund. Still too much $$ in my opinion, but that was at least more in line with what other dealers are charging. A few days later I got a call from the Service Manager, who apologized and agreed with me that we were not handled correctly. He said the two service levels should have been explained, at a minimum. So, end result is they did refund $250 back to us. More

I was looking for a used Honda Accord and I found one here. I called them to confirm if the car was still available and I was told that the deal is going on and they will call me back to let me know if t here. I called them to confirm if the car was still available and I was told that the deal is going on and they will call me back to let me know if the deal went through or not. That was around 4 pm. I didn't get any call so, the next day I called them again and I was told by Corey Johnson that car is still available and I can test drive. I got an appointment with him and reached there on time. At the very first interaction with that, totally rude, guy I felt this is not the right place to buy a car. I reminded him that I was looking for a particular accord coupe for which he had confirmed available on the phone. He said that he has only sedan as I never told him that I wanted coupe. He showed me a sedan and after I told him that I don't want a sedan he said he will find other cars for me. After sometime he said the car I was looking for is still available and is parked somewhere else so I had to drive with him looking for that car. During this time he argued with me that I never said about coupe on phone. I asked him why would I drive 10 miles to look at a random car? His response, "how would I know?". Fine. We drove around a few blocks to search for that coupe, after a while I asked him again do you have any accord coupe? To which, he reminded me again, in his not so nice tone, that I never told him and that I am lying. That was enough for me. I asked him to drive me back to my car and I am done with this dealership!!
