I’m just adding my complaint about waiting an unreasonable amount of time even though I made an appointment. It took over three+ hours for an oil change and service check. Just lied through the whole process. Young salesman (Brandon) sent me through the whole buying process. 2hrs needed 2 more signatures. Why, they wanted me to buy a car they didn’t have. Young salesman (Brandon) sent me through the whole buying process. 2hrs needed 2 more signatures. Why, they wanted me to buy a car they didn’t have. I was there to put 1K to hold it. He new it there was no misunderstanding. Yet he put me through the whole process. SOB’s also want 500 bucks for gps tracking incase the car is stolen from their lot. They say it’s for your benefit. Isn’t that’s what auto insurance is for. I’m sure my credit took a hit because of this xxxxxxxx More
Don’t let them touch your car. The worst service for Toyota in the Pdx area. They destroyed my cats with injector service then wanted 3000 plus 700 labor to fix. Dropped my car off for a tune up at 7:45. He pulled up some tire options and helped me pick one out. He said it’d be 3-4 hours. I got a call at 1:27pm. They send a Lyft for me. Through talking with the Lyft driver, I realized I didn’t order a wheel, and just having a tire wasn’t going to help me if I’m in the middle of nowhere. When I got to the dealership, I apologized to the service tech and told him I didn’t want just the tire. He seemed annoyed, but I was also annoyed that he didn’t tell me about the wheel, or help me think this through when I told him what I wanted the spare for. He told me to wait while they took the tire out of my trunk. When I was helped again, it was a different guy. I asked why and he said they were behind on lunch breaks. As we’re finishing up, the original service tech comes back to his station helping another customer. Neither of them would look me in the eye. The whole experience felt like I was being milked for all I’m worth, with little to no actual customer service from people who don’t seem to care about people and lack communication skills. I ended up spending $300 dollars for a 25,000 tune up. What?! The original tech told me I wouldn’t need a synthetic oil change for my hybrid for 10,000 miles, and then the sticker they put for my next service is in 5,000 miles. Soooo I know the message is going to read “contact the dealership” in few months and I won’t be able to remove it from the message center until I go. I feel like generally I’m an easy target for salesmen, but this service was so bad that even I could see it. Either the employees are severely overworked/underpaid, or lack little knowledge about their job or both. More
One of the worst experience I've had in a Toyota dealership. Was looking for a new RAV4 Prime. Found the vehicle on Toyota site, contacted the dealership from there. Sales person quoted a higher price than what was shown through SmartPath online purchase option on Toyota site offered by the dealer. Mentioned it to the sales person and he said "no problem just bring the evidence and we will honor". Drove all the way from Washington to the dealership in Oregon only to find out that they would not sell the car without an additional markup of $3200. They had already quoted a price that was $1800 higher than MSRP with some dealer accessories. When I asked why, the answer was my manager will not allow, I am not in the internet sales etc. Ended up leaving the dealership and initiating the purchase online since it was still showing the same low price. Every time I initiate the purchase online the status goes to "Dealer processing" and in a couple of hours back to "canceled" with no explanation or anybody reaching out. I subsequently got emails from the Internet sales manager and Customer care specialist asking me how my experience was and I wrote them about the experience. No response after that. This dealership is a joke. Please save yourself time and effort by avoiding them. More
I had a service scheduled and told them I would wait. I was told about an hour. After driving 28 miles from my house I arrived and was told to leave it all day possibly until the next. When I told the I was told about an hour. After driving 28 miles from my house I arrived and was told to leave it all day possibly until the next. When I told them I had an appointment they were t concerned. I asked for a loaner but they would not provide one. They said they’d pay for a lift until I told them how far I needed to go then I was told “Nevermind”…. A simple call to let the customer know that an hour appointment is no longer an option would have avoided all this. Never returning. More
Had a 9:05 am appointment for lube and oil change. Arrived at 8:55 am and was told there were quite busy and 9:05 was "check-in," not appointment. Then was told there is a "five hour window," so I could have been in that smelly sitting room until 1 pm. Have patronized this dealership for eighteen years. In distant past service advisors were skilled and knowledgeable. Now it is youth with a smile and no real Toyota savvy. Ownership change had resulted in lousy and unpredictable service. Look elsewhere. More
Toyota of Portland completely ripped me off with an $148 oil change. Mark Moore went on to explain to me that my car "takes a lot of oil" and that "for some odd reason, oil change prices have spiked". I spe oil change. Mark Moore went on to explain to me that my car "takes a lot of oil" and that "for some odd reason, oil change prices have spiked". I spent $148 on an oil change for a hybrid rav4 at Toyota of Portland, normally I get my oil change at Toyota of Wilsonville for $49.95. This was my first visit to Toyota of Portland and they really xxxxed me! I will not be returning to this location and do not recommend Mark Moore or this dealership. They are the epitome of xxxxxxx car salesmen. I wish I could leave a 0 star review for this place. Lesson learned. More
Thank you Ken Scott for being attentive to details as you provided useful, constructive car buying experience. I was told it would take about an hour (which is quite a bit longer than Jiffy Lube, etc) so I decided to go to their waiting room and read for an hour. After 2 hours, I went out to check on the car and, after the representative checked, he said they hadn't started on it yet and it would be another hour. Why did I make an appointment? And why do I keep coming back to this dealer? I won't again. More
