We have been looking for a replacement vehicle for over six weeks. Our old vehicle was not broken completely, so we had the luxury of time to do some homework as to the make, model, and year of vehicle we six weeks. We had visited at least six other dealerships or sales lots in the Central Florida area, mostly with poor results or poor experiences. The visit to Toyota of Orlando was more of an impulse visit. We watched one of their advertisements on WFTV late one evening touting a Toyota Sienna for $18K or so. Even though we were really interested in an SUV, we found ourselves doing research on the Sienna minivan. It is highly rated by a major consumer reports service, so we figured we would give it a test drive. We pulled into the dealership around 8 pm on a Saturday evening, and were warmly greeted at our parking space by Mr. Karl Miller. Karl took a few moments to make introductions and asked us how he could be of assistance. Once we had explained what we were interested in viewing, Karl took us to the lot area where we had several Sienna year models from which to choose. We selected a 2010 model and, after Karl had taken down important information from our driver’s license, we were on our way for a test drive. Karl explained in detail the features of this particular model. He was most knowledgeable about this specific minivan and regaled us with information in his delightful baritone British accent. We even pulled into a convenience store parking lot so that Karl could immediately show us some external features of the Sienna. Once we returned to the dealership and reviewed the other year models available, it became clear that we had chosen the model that best suited our needs. Karl explained to us that he is not commissioned, but is employed as a salaried sale associate. As such, Karl passed us to Don Diaz, a negotiation representative who took time to determine what additional features, options, and services which we might find of interest. Once we had agreed upon the particulars, we began to negotiate a price. When it seemed an impasse had been reached upon an agreeable price, we were visited by Jim Lyle, the “pit boss” who took time to socialize and understand our side of the offer. Jim was able to approve a fair bargain price that left us both feeling that we had scored a “win-win”. Don and Jim escorted us to the finance room in order to finalize the paperwork process. We were greeted cordially by Mr. Matt Rodriguez, the finance representative. Matt welcomed us onboard and swiftly took us through the paperwork mountain, making sure we understood what we were signing, and what each other’s obligations would be upon completion. Upon finishing the paperwork and the final deal-sealing handshake, Matt thanked us for “… flying Matt’s Airlines”, a humor inducing way of completing a wonderful experience. The showroom advertises its hours of operation until 10 pm, but these dedicated associates of Toyota of Orlando stayed until 11:30 pm making sure the deal was complete and that we could drive off the lot in our new purchase. Since it was so late, my beloved was not willing to drive our old vehicle back home. Karl stepped up to our dilemma, and drove the old vehicle back to our house, 15 minutes away from the dealership. This is service above and beyond anything we expected. Our visit was an impulse stop with no intent to purchase, only test drive. We were made to feel welcome, treated with dignity and respect, all questions answered, and each of these fine men bent backwards to make sure we received the best, more fair and equitable deal, that could have been made to us. We would highly recommend Toyota of Orlando to anyone looking for a smooth transaction with no pressure to purchase, no question too dumb or stupid to be asked, and all details covered to satisfaction. I bought my 2002 Highlander from Toyota of Orlando April 2002. I continue to enjoy ownership of this car because of the wonderful, professional car that is provided. EMIL PELLINO has been my Service Consultant for as long as I can remember. He treats his clients as the most important person there. His advice on what is needed and not needed is always on target. He remembers me no matter how long ago since I'd been there. My car is in it's pristine automotive shape because of Emil's advice and caring. I've experienced 80 years on this earth and I hope for 20 more. Emil will keep me and my car going.
