My tire pressure light blinked for a while when I started the car then went solid on. According to the owner's manual I needed to take in in to service department to check tire warning system failure started the car then went solid on. I had already checked the tire pressure several times and it was never low for any of the tires. I was told when I arrived and was checking in that they recommended replacing my tires since they showed wear. I said I didn't want to replace tires just fix the tire pressure warning system. After service department worked in the car, I was told a tire had a nail in it and that the tire was patched. I was told the light would go out after I drove it for ten minutes. I was not charged anything for the service work. I drove it on the highway for over 20 minutes and then about 10 more in town. Light never went off. Over the weekend I drove it several times for over 30 miles and the light was still acting the same. I took the car to my regular mechanic. He checked and found only on tire sensor was working. He recommended replacing 2 tires and the 3 bad sensors. When I picked it up from him, the light was no longer showing a problem. I didn't have to drive it to have it reset the light. I feel the Toyota service people should found the bad sensors. I doubt the nail was actually an issue although I realize it may have become one eventually. I don't feel they took the time or cared enough to actually solve them problem. They found the nail, patched the tire and never fully checked out the system. I went to Toyota thinking they would know exactly what to do. Apparently, I was wrong. I will not be going back to them for servicing. More
Service was good, experience was terrible. My car had damage to the driver side door handle and no one has attempted to contact me in 2 days about the problem! Service Advisor Karsen was excellent, as always! I’m a very detailed person. I thought that my “engine problem” would be noted on my work order/invoice for my documentation. The refreshment lady I’m a very detailed person. I thought that my “engine problem” would be noted on my work order/invoice for my documentation. The refreshment lady was very nice, coming up to me in the waiting area, offering coffee & crackers & with a smile…That’s never happened to me before in my many years at the Toyota dealership. Concerning servicing: My wait was 4 hours, but I’m a patient man. After any work or adjustments needed, I would expect everything to be moved back in its place/position as found. My most disturbing item was my front passenger seat being reclined ALL the way back to max position. My assumption is that the mechanic/tech was taking a nap or resting in my car! …If so, that’s not acceptable! When car was parked at the customer bay, it was left on. My headlights and fog lights were in the on position. Drivers’s seat was left moved up forward…I’m 6’-4”. Airflow was turned off. Under hood, near radiator filler, splashes were at several different areas & dried as white marks. Fuse box was not fastened into place at rear hinges. Fingerprints/grease marks were left on chrome trim. All servicing as requested seems to be completed. Some of my findings may seem petty, but when I buy a $52,000 new vehicle, I take pride in it. I hope this survey will help to make a positive difference. More
